20 years ago, my favorite 4th grade student was in my wedding. This past weekend- I attended his! ❤️ I just love this family. It began by simply calling mom in 2006 saying "I'm going to treat your baby just like he is mine." #RelationshipsMatter #TheOtherSideOfTheDesk – at Stockbridge, GA

Happy National Principals Month! You sacrifice daily, work countless hours, plan, monitor, evaluate, revise, serve as counselors/cheerleaders for students/adults & and more! 10 years in that role & I still remember-so Kudos to YOU! You ARE amazing! #FromTheOtherSideOfTheDesk – at Stockbridge, GA

It's Spirit Week at @SBE_HCS !! Tuesday was "Pajama/Comfy Day" and yesterday was RED Day for 5th grade! We represented! #ChangingTheGame #LoveMyStudents #FromTheOtherSideOfTheDesk

I got in 4.5 miles before the week begins. My new goal is 20 miles/week. Balancing teaching and working out isn't easy....but it's necessary! 💪🏾 Let's Get It! #TheOtherSideOfTheDesk

While hugging/greeting students on car rider duty, a student gets out of the car and rushes over to me saying, "My hair is like yours; I wanted to be like you!" Now you know its going to be an amazing Monday! 😃 #RelationshipsMatter #TheOtherSideOfTheDesk – at Stockbridge, GA

Perfect attendance for August earned a gratitude announcement from our Principal AND a special treat! 😊 Recognition beyond test scores reminds teachers that our value extends beyond summative test results. ❤️ Thanks, Dr. Oliver! #TheOtherSideOfTheDesk @SBE_HCS – at Stockbridge, GA

When teachers receive relevant training we can use immediately, have our “wonderings” addressed, work collaboratively, AND walk away with resources for students…that’s a GREAT day of PD! 👏🏾 #5thGradeScience #Cells #FromTheOtherSideOfTheDesk – at Stockbridge, GA

When a 5th grader makes you a cute purse to match hers..... ❤️ It’s sooo stinking cute.....tiny...but simply adorable ❤️ #RelationshipsMatter

I love "Togetherness Tuesdays" at @SBE_HCS Every Tuesday there's a special color or pattern to wear. Yesterday was "Polka Dot Day"and our team represented well! 😊 It's the simple things that create a culture of oneness. 💙 #LoveItHere #TheOtherSideOfTheDesk

After 3 weeks in school (preplanning & 2 weeks w/kids), teachers are still trying to get daily routines & content organized, working late hours and the weekend. Leaders, offer a little grace. 🙏🏾 Teachers, we owe 100% to our students. Let's Keep Pounding! #TheOtherSideOfTheDesk

District PD was filled with lots of learning! Honesty, I had forgotten venation and leaf margins but thanks to BCE teachers, I quickly remembered. 🍃 Always create an environment where it's safe to ask for help. My 1st yr (1993) & this week (2026) #FromTheOtherSideOfTheDesk – at Stockbridge, GA
