Two things can be true:
1. Tennessee needs to fix stupid penalties.
2. The officiating from Bammer David Smith and his crew was not great, and I believe the NCAA needs to create a national organization for at least FBS football referees and stop leaving the officiating to the individual conferences.

Tennessee football fans are understandably suspicious of the refereeing in yesterday's game.
Three touchdown passes wiped out by penalties.
Here's why we're suspicious: most of us have played and/or watched football for decades. We recognize that penalties often affect your team.
But what happened yesterday has never happened in college football history. Never.
Tennessee lost by 3 to South Carolina where the calls affected the game, this call didn't change the game at all.
