Kudos to the @FedWorkersUtd for standing in solidarity with our members @Aslin_BeerCo in Logan Circle DC as they work towards finalizing a first union contract! We all know that union beer served best is beer served by union workers! #unionstrong #aslinworkersunited #1u – at Washington, DC

Congratulations and welcome to the Metropolitan Washington Council's newest delegate: Marokey Sawo from IFPTE 70 - NPEU, sworn in at our September delegates meeting. Thank you for your service to a united labor movement in our region. We are looking forward to working with you!

Shit’s too expensive, and working families are falling behind while bosses make record pay and bonuses. This November, we have a chance to make our voices heard, and take this country back for working people.

The Senate is about to vote on the union-busting Protect College Sports Act, which would undermine college athletes’ power while letting the NCAA and athletic conferences set the terms and conditions of work.
The AFL-CIO and its Sports Council urge Senators to reject this bill.
The Protect College Sports Act would deny college athletes the rights they are owed as workers and cut off any path they have to advocate for themselves, all so the NCAA and conferences can consolidate money and power. The Senate must reject this bill.

Our labor movement and our country are stronger because of the culture, history and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!

AMC shuttle drivers at NIH held a practice picket today. Workers have been without a contract for months and the negotiations have dragged on. Now the company is threatening to take back benefits workers earned in past contracts! Enough is enough! #ATU689FairContracts

Today, we remember those lost on September 11, including more than 600 members of our union family. Twenty-five years later, too many responders and survivors are still fighting for care. They answered the call. Our government must answer theirs.

America’s unions honor the memory of all of those who were killed in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, including more than 600 members of our union family whom we continue to mourn today.
The labor movement will continue to stand in solidarity and honor their legacy.
Labor Day reminded us why we fight. The worker power and solidarity was incredible! Let's keep the fight going and vote this November for candidates who will stand with us, not billionaires.

This Labor Day, shit’s too expensive. Wages aren’t keeping up with the cost of living. Working people are living on the edge while billionaires and bosses get even richer.
But with record-high support, working people trust the labor movement to fight back and deliver.
It was a Labor Day full of solidarity and worker power.
Now, let’s keep up the fight, make our voices heard and elect candidates this November who will stand with us, not billionaires.
57 days until Election Day. Let’s get it done for working people and take our country back!

Labor Day exists because workers organized, stood together and fought for better. Every right we have on the job was won by working people who refused to settle for less. We honor them by carrying that fight forward.
Happy Labor Day!
