I look for areas of confluence on the daily and hourly charts for intraday trading, and on the weekly and higher timeframes for swinging. I use the full stack of indicators in the upper left of the charts, including SMAs, EMAs, Bollinger Bands, and the linear regression channel. Many times the SMA and EMA will converge, or form a narrow ribbon, and when price of the asset Iโm trading approaches this area at the same time that $QQQ is approaching a similar area, there is added confluence. The 5 SMA on the daily and hourly is useful for dip buys on stocks that are breaking out, and the 325 SMA and 377 EMA sometimes give areas of demand or supply for more climactic moves. I only execute at these moving supply and demand zones, and I watch the tape when entering to confirm that price is building in my favor. I also use these areas to gauge my measured potential in the trade, as more space to the next line is beneficial for a bigger move. I use these lines to scale out of my position as well, and once I start taking profit, I typically use a breakeven stop on the remaining balance. In addition to these supply and demand zones, I look for things such as a tight daily channel, areas of congestion on a chart, Wyckoff analysis, harmonics, and other patterns I have come to recognize over the years.
$INTC had disappointing guidance, and even though I did not come in short this name, I was able to find a great short entry as it bounced up into short-term supply (arrow) ๐ Remember that low can go lower, and it's best to wait for evidence of buyers shifting momentum before going long ๐
$MU rejected the daily 50 SMA (arrow), as I mentioned two days ago when I sold my swing runners ๐ค I did not flip short until yesterday, but I announced shorting Micron at $970 and $MUU at $29 on Spaces, and said I would hold this position all day into the close ๐๏ธ After $SNDK had a poor earnings reaction, I added more short at $925 and swung this overnight ๐ The daily 150 SMA (circled) is the next downside level of interest, where I will be covering runners and watching to see if buyers step up for a potential bounce trade ๐ฆ
$MU traded right up to the daily 50 SMA (circled), where I trimmed some of my long from Monday (arrow) โ๏ธ As always, I protect gains by scaling when supply is rejected and raising stops ๐ค Expect volatility with FOMC today, major earnings this week, and midterm elections next week ๐ฆ Remember that another entry is always just around the corner if you stay paytient ๐โโ๏ธ
$NOW lost the daily 5 SMA (arrow) prior to earnings, and got sold off heavily after ๐ I was asked many times why I didn't just long $IGV and $NOW instead of daytrading $MU long and short, and I said many times that I did not trust the market to hold up without $SMH leadership ๐
$QQQ held the daily 50 SMA (circled) intraday, but it is losing it overnight โ ๏ธ Just like in July and February of this year, if this key level is not reclaimed in the coming days, there will likely be further downside in the short term ๐ I do not believe this is the end of the bull market, and I will likely daytrade rejections and bounces, and then reaccumulate longs for another big swing when we see a change of character in price action and demand holding ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ While there is notable strength in $XLV, $XLE and $XLP, I prefer to focus on trading technology names to the downside, and then take these same names long when the time is right ๐ฆ

$MU has reclaimed the daily 5 SMA (arrow), which is now starting to flatten out and curl back up, indicating a shift in short-term momentum ๐ฆ We have been buying dips on Micron at $888 and below, which is the key $1T level โพ๏ธ I took several daytrades on the name, both short, and long, over the past few weeks, to capitalize on the downside range ๐ Micron needs to reclaim the daily 50 SMA (circled) for further upside expansion in the coming days and weeks ๐ The last two FOMC meetings in July and September marked local bottoms, and I have been preparing for a similar scenario heading into FOMC tomorrow and midterm elections next week ๐ฆ I expect ongoing volatility, but as long as last week's low continues to hold, I will look to keep buying dips for swings ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ

$MRNA halted down, and I went short Moderna at $213 after the halt opened and it bounced into declining supply (arrow) ๐ As I've discussed in previous posts, when trading halting stocks, your risk is always to the previous halt price ($215 in this case) ๐ By the time you figure out the news, it's too late โ I always say that price IS the news ๐ฐ This trade only had $2 of risk for now over $30 of reward ๐ค
$MU rejected hourly supply (arrow) on this morning's push, and I announced getting short at $906 on Spaces ๐๏ธ I am still holding most of this position, with my next target at the hourly lower Bollinger Band (circled) ๐ฏ This is nearly a $40/share gain from the entry in less than two hours ๐ค I have spoken extensively about an $830 target on Micron if it builds below the key $888 level, and that often-times the weekend or overnight lows get retested in the intraday session a few days later ๐ As always, I am keeping stops in profit so this trade cannot go red โ๏ธ
$QQQ failed to reclaim the daily 50 SMA (circled) yet again today, and I remain risk-off, as I have been all month โ ๏ธ The intraday range has been phenomenal, so my focus remains on daytrading while I wait for technical damage to be repaired before taking big overnight swings ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ There is no need to catch the absolute bottoms or tops, as most of the money is made in the middle ๐ฅฉ Stay paytient, and preserve your mental and fiscal capital ๐โโ๏ธ

$TSLA rejected the daily 200 SMA (arrow), and as I discussed on Spaces, the stock sold off as soon as Elon Musk started speaking on the earnings call ๐๏ธ I took $TSLL short on the push into $11 for this typical Tesla earnings reaction ๐ The daily 50 SMA (circled) is a critical downside level of interest ๐

$MU just filled the daily gap at $914 after we got long $875 this morning ๐ฏ Some amazing daytrades with this week's range expansion ๐ค $QQQ must close over the daily 50 SMA at $727 for further repair ๐
$MU rallied into $950 yet again this morning, where I took some more trims โ๏ธOnce I saw that it could not hold the daily lower Bollinger Band (arrow), which was reclaimed yesterday, I decided to cut the rest of my swing from $888 and below while still in profit ๐ The continual rejections of $1100 were the first warning signs to scale at least partially after earnings, and once the weekly 5 SMA at $1040 was lost on Friday, it was another warning sign to lighten up โ ๏ธ I took a daytrade long at the daily 50 SMA (circled) on Monday, but I did not hold that overnight due to the weak close ๐
โโ๏ธ I will revisit another aggressive long on this name, but I will wait to see lower demand levels hold as I mentioned in the comments of my previous post, with $888 (the $1T level), and $830 the next levels of interest below โพ

$QQQ rejected the declining daily 5 SMA (circled) yesterday, and is finally losing the daily 50 SMA (arrow) after testing it three times in the past week ๐จ Just like $MU at the daily 20 SMA around $1050, the more times a level gets tested, the more likely it is to finally break ๐ I remain sell-biased on hardware names, and am short $MUU while waiting to see how Micron acts at the daily 50 SMA for a potential long ๐

$MU closed over the daily upper lower Bollinger Band (arrow) as required, and I am keeping this position overnight ๐ฆ I am still swinging equity from $888 and below as well ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ Micron is continuing to operate at an elite level, and moments of peak fear provide a compelling opportunity to add to longs ๐ค The daily 50 SMA (circled) is the next key level to reclaim in the coming days ๐ Institutional flow on @BlademapAI has kept me bullish despite the headlines ๐ฐ That said, proper risk-management is the cornerstone of any profitable long-term trading strategy, and this is why I always emphasize to scale out when supply is rejected (such as $1100 after earnings), or when key demand is lost (such as the weekly 5 SMA at $1040 last Friday) โ๏ธ This allows you to continually buy the fear and protect your profits ๐ฐ Once a position starts working in your favor, using a breakeven stop is a great way to stay in the trade while ensuring your initial capital is always preserved ๐

The earnings and economic calendars for the week of 10/5 are below โฌ๏ธ
$QQQ held the weekly 5 SMA (circled) last week, and is continuing to breakout to new all-time highs, exactly as expected ๐ฎ There is a long way higher to the top of the weekly linear regression channel ๐ I have positioned for this by aggressively buying the recent peak fear dips (arrows), and holding fully and completely as the market showed a change of character by discounting bad news ๐ I always say that price is the news, and seeing price continue higher despite $TNX and $USO headwinds kept me very bullish ๐ฐ I have been pounding the table regarding staying bullish throughout all dips since the end of July, and adding even more along the way ๐๏ธ I also vocally scaled out of longs earlier this summer and stayed in cash as the market washed out excess leverage โ๏ธ See all my post quotes to understand my decision-making process throughout this market progression ๐ Studying institutional flow on @BlademapAI has helped me tremendously in adding confluence and confidence to either scale out in profit, or hold on to winners ๐
$QQQ reached the weekly upper Bollinger Band (circled) and had the highest weekly close of all time ๐ I have been aggressively buying dips at weekly demand levels (arrows) during moments of peak fear, and waiting paytiently for this hated rally to unfold ๐
$HPE broke out of its all-time high and is reaching the daily upper Bollinger Band and top of the linear regression channel (circled) ๐ The cup and handle is playing out perfectly โ
$HPE consolidated and formed a handle, exactly as expected โ It is approaching another major breakout level as it consolidates under its all-time high ๐
