This movie is a crime against humanity, but I’m also thankful for it. It pissed off Toriyama so much that we got Battle of Gods and later Dragon Ball Super to bury this.
I heard you have to watch this movie to prove your loyalty to Dragon Ball #nowwatching

Catholics: “Protestants have no unifying idea we can hold them all to. It’s a free-for-all!” Also Catholics: “This one woman speaks for all Protestants.”

Dropping the hanky is a great technique for women to employ to get a man’s attention and signal that she’s interested. Frequently liking his posts is not dropping the hanky, though. It requires a bit more than that.

This is the dishonest framing Mormons are trained on.
Evangelical: Mormonism is false because you teach doctrines that contradict Christianity! LDS: Okay. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Lord and Savior. Evangelical: WRONG JESUS! LDS: We believe He died for our sins and rose again on the third day. Evangelical: But you don't understand what that MEANS! LDS: We believe we're saved through His grace. Evangelical: WORKS-BASED SALVATION! LDS: We believe we should follow Jesus and become more like Him. Evangelical: YOU THINK YOU CAN BECOME GOD! LDS: We believe God loves us and wants us to live with Him eternally. Evangelical: FALSE GOSPEL! LDS: We believe families can be together forever. Evangelical: HERESY! LDS: So... is there anything we believe that's actually good? Evangelical: Absolutely! Jesus Christ is Lord, He died for our sins, rose on the third day, and we are saved by His grace! LDS: That's literally what I just said. Evangelical: YEAH, BUT WHEN YOU SAY IT, IT'S WRONG! LDS: Why? Evangelical: Because you're Mormon! LDS: So Mormonism is wrong because Mormons are wrong? Evangelical: EXACTLY! LDS: And Mormons are wrong because Mormonism is wrong? Evangelical: NOW YOU'RE GETTING IT! LDS: I think we've discovered your actual first article of faith. Evangelical: What's that? LDS: "We believe that Mormons are wrong, and that all things whatsoever Mormons believe are wrong, whether they be true or false." Evangelical: AMEN! ...WAIT.

Those who are opposed to Christians watching horror are a short step from denying such people are even saved. It’s a small leap from “Christians shouldn’t watch this” to “if you’re a Christian and enjoy horror, you don’t have the conviction of the Spirit in you.” Boom, and that’s how easy it is to throw others out of the kingdom for watching horror.

Strap in and get ready to listen to the most inane bimbo babble you've ever heard, because the rusty gears in Melonie Mac's head are turning again! Melmac speculates that AI MUSIC IS SANG BY DEMONS because "sometimes its better than real people music."

Yes, the problem with Allie’s take isn’t just that it’s short-sighted, shallow, and without any of the proper nuance, it’s that it is extremely culturally subversive in the wrong ways. That’s been my biggest issue with it. That’s why called it Satanic Panic 2.0.
A long, open letter to @conservmillen. I actually have a lot of respect for Allie Beth Stuckey, there's no ill will towards her. I just don't think she understands how much damage opinions like hers on horror films (or any other genre) do to the entire Christian Media industry. The entire industry is run as women being the primary consumer. I've literally heard stories about great films, books and TV shows being rejected by publishers and distributors because they polled their target demographic of avid readers of Amish Romance Novels and surprisingly they were not interested in Science Fiction. Lifeway was the distributor of Christian books, movies and music. Women were Lifeway's primary demographic. So Franklin, TN became the Christian media capital of the world, and all Christian media was for who they called "Bookstore Betty" I know the guy who tried to get Chronicles of Narnia funded prior to Walden Media selling it to Disney. Walden gave Christians the first right to buy. But Christian women didn't want fantasy and magic. So the rights were given to Disney. And well now, Netflix. I also know first hand how much Steve Deace struggled to prove there is a market for films outside of the Hallmark/Lifeway demographic. Hear me on this, as someone who has done marketing at the highest levels of Christian Movies...There are very few people who know the inner workings of the KLOVE industrial complex as well as me, and much fewer willing to speak against it and build something to dismantle the female demographic monopoly. Christian media executives do not have the courage to go against the opinions of women. They are the only audience they are interested in. For them, there is no male purchaser of Christian entertainment. They don't exist. It is not because men do not want it, but they refuse to invest the capital and take the risk to offend the women who already make up a lucrative Hallmark slop market. (If these men do exist, we need to talk) This is the primary reason why Christian's do not have a long term, sustainable pipeline for producing quality and broadly appealing, multi-generational pop culture. So Allie, I implore you to understand that the differences between men and women also mean that men and women like different kinds of entertainment. Horror, Action, Adventure, Science Fiction. "Christian Movie" is not a catch all for the Hallmark / Great American Family Genre. As much as the current industry wants it to be. This is a tightly controlled, marketing category that is fearlessly protected by major secular owned studios to keep Christian culture in the back of the bus. The Christian movies are made with permission from the secular studios distribution arms. So the Christian movies cannot upset the female demographic, and they can't upset the Hollywood studios who distribute them in theaters and on Amazon and Netflix. So calling out Horror films struck a nerve because every Christian on the planet wants better pop-culture and they know that statements like yours will be used for more Soros staffed and funded non-profits like The Faith and Media Initiative to keep things the way they are. (Ask me about this sometime if you want a real story on Christian entertainment) I am going to be the one who sees the outrage your post posted as genuine market opportunity and will continue building a way to dismantle this industry.

People being mad at me for voicing my opinion on something is whatever to me. I’ve been dealing with on that social media half my life. People agreeing with an opinion I voice but still being mad at me for voicing it because I didn’t also voice an opinion on something adjacent will always perplex me.

VTubers usually want to remain anonymous, so how do they meet people to date and marry? Do they meet a dude as a VTuber until they build enough trust to show their real selves? Or do they meet men out in the wild and leave out that whole part of their lives until they trust him enough to tell him of their persona? Or is there a factor I’m not considering?

Young Christian men, if you’re single and looking for a wife, introduce yourself below. Include your name, age, general location, occupation/job, denomination, and what you hope for in marriage and family life, including children. Single ladies, have a read through and reply to any comments that pique your interest. Men, no DMing the ladies unless they explicitly invite you to. A like or a reply is not an invitation to their inbox. Keep it respectful.

You lost the debate with the first sentence. Cant even get the point of contention right, let alone be worth an actual discussion.
The emotional reactions to God's sovereignty are remarkable. Have we forgotten Job? He lost his children, possessions, and health, yet declared, "The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away." Scripture says Job did not sin in saying this (Job 1:21–22). Job 42:11 even speaks of the calamity the LORD brought upon him. Human causes do not negate divine sovereignty. You may dislike that truth, but you still have to deal with Scripture.

I once spoke with an absolutely vile person who explained why he exclusively hit on married/taken women He'd made a pass at me, I said I was taken, he said he knew, and I called him out and said "If you knew, why would you do that?" "If I hit on single women, my competition is every guy in the world. If I hit on taken ones it's one guy." Although this is one of the most toxic things I've ever heard, I do think it's worth internalizing, because you can make your partner compete against the entire world even if no one ever hits on you That's what you're doing if you're constantly comparing them in your head to others, that's what porn does, that's what getting deep in the weeds with romance books does, and it's what the Call Her Daddy-style "You can do better" mindset teaches And you know what? Maybe you actually CAN do better. Maybe both of you could! You could both spend your entire lives treating people like baseball cards, trading them in over and over to optimize for some superior stat But if you've committed to someone, specifically if you've vowed to "forsake all others," they are not your monkey branch to use to upgrade
