Delighted to share the first publication from my dissertation research with @JennSmithSocBeh! We tested field collection methods for fecal microbiome samples to see if microbial communities were affected (spoilers: not as much as you might think!)

Steps for catching a #chipmunk in the wild FOR #SCIENCE:
1. Set a trap
2. Put a dollop of 🥜 butter in it
3. Cross fingers you get a chipmunk and not a squirrel or a 🐻
Oh, and then study its #stress response by stealing its poop then put it the 🐿️in a portable arena!
