I went to a lovely village fete today, and there was a fish ‘n’ chip van, so I had a large cod and chips. My missus ‘didn’t want any’, but then, of course, proceeded to eat around 40 per cent of my chips. Also, two random women simply walked up and helped themselves to some, as if that was perfectly acceptable. How much longer must men put up with this? How do we know how much food to buy? If you run a chips-adjacent food outlet, how do you know how much to serve to a bloke when there are obvious women present? Of course, I’m happy to share with the frail, fainting flower of womanhood, because what’s mine is hers first. We are men, and our duty is to provide and, ultimately, defend, even unto death. But this is about chips, and boundaries are important. Sisters: it’s OK to like chips. It’s OK to want some. We know you do.

The cost of hosting next year’s United Nations climate change summit in Adelaide would be at least $1 billion. Someone please explain how Australia would benefit from this obscene waste of taxpayers money? By any measure, how can it cost so much? And why not hold it virtually?

What a sick world we live in when a young conservative is gunned down. The left are just sickos.

We have over 110,000 public servants in Canberra alone. Remind me why we need a summit to come up with ideas on how to deliver growth in Australia? If outsiders have to attend and work it out for the Government, why not let them run the place? It's not like they can! @noidea

Where is our Opposition? While polls are suggesting that Labor is increasing its political lead, it's crickets from the Opposition! Hey @LiberalAus, you don't have a day to waste, and at the moment you are! GET ON WITH IT!

Imagine doing your tax return, and your home valuation has gone up by $80k. The government says ok you now owe us $24k. What will you do, sell to pay it?

Australia, it’s up to you. But please don’t complain when your lights go out or your Super gets taxed more and your kids pay an inheritance tax. Your call!

Today Michelle Landry and I shopped like it was 2022 and it was quite the shock! We used old supermarket catalogues to buy a trolley of items that cost $132 in 2022 before Anthony Albanese was PM. Today the same trolley cost $215! I don't know how families are surviving. The extra costs are a consequence of the PM failing to do what he said he would and cut your power bill by $275. Higher electricity prices make it more expensive to produce everything and that makes everything more expensive. With voting opening tomorrow we need a change of government to the LNP. We will keep our gas for Australians first and build low cost nuclear power stations that will make groceries cheaper. We can't afford 3 more years of Labor!

I just watched the Debate between Chris Bowen and Ted O'Brien. One thing for sure is that Chris Bowen is entirely out of his depth.

As a taxpayer, it's not okay for you to subsidise batteries for the elite who have them, especially if the batteries are made from dirty Nickel sourced from Indonesia or anywhere else!

Gee @AlboMP. Your anti-nuclear stance looks even more ridiculous every day. What does Britain's socialist in chief get that you don't?
We're firing up nuclear power to drive growth, jobs and more affordable energy – putting money back in your pocket.

No discussion, we are just "halving" what we are paying you. They are right, rates haven't changed since 2021, so, if that's the case why has my bill gone up? If there is an abundance of solar now, wait till we have much more. If my power is only worth .04c a KWH to them, who are they buying power from? I might suggest that homeowners are being taken for a ride here, being asked to help the environment by generating their own power, only to find that when they feed it to the grid, it's almost worthless. I won't be sucking up any more cool aid by buying an overpriced battery anytime soon now as it's just not economically viable. I installed solar 7 years ago and am less than 50% through the payback and now that will be pushed out much further. This is essentially a significant price increase of at least $150 by stealth. If "the value of the energy into the grid is dropping" why is there a push for homes to have solar? I do the maintenance, take all the risk of the plant and supply to the grid from Feb 3, all for .04c a KW/H. Yet, to buy power simultaneously costs 27.22 KW/H. I wish I had that margin in my business!

Peter Dutton needs to commit to a similar policy for Australia. We could be the wealthiest and most prosperous nation on earth. Instead we literally ban mining for gold and keep our most valuable assets buried in the ground to appease some Snake God or whatever. Stupid doesn’t even begin to describe this nation under Labor.

12 noon ABC news on QLD TV gave Peter Duttons new policy 90 secs, Chris Bowen's reply 23 minutes, followed by their political reporter commenting on Bowen's response, not the policy announcement - an amateur attempt at news reporting.
