The views of the Co-Chairs of the LA County Citizens Redistricting Commission: Op-Ed: Fair and independent redistricting? Los Angeles County does it already latimes.com/opinion/story/20…
Remember @CoachDanLanning saying his team is disciplined, not like "disgusting" USC? Refs missed this obvious unsportsmanlike sucker punch to the head/neck of UCLA QB, but Dan has seen it. How about it--are you backing up your words with action?

@CoachDanLanning and @oregonfootball are on the clock to suspend Bear Alexander for his sucker punch to the back of Nico’s head.
If he refuses to act then it’s up to the @bigten to step in. Just like the post celebration on Dante Moore THIS behavior isn’t college football.

BREAKING WaPo:
Trump wants to transform his West Palm Beach golf club into a presidential retreat modeled after Camp David.
The plan calls for a parcel of the private club to be designated a permanent, official sanctuary for foreign leaders and future U.S. presidents.
Future presidents would also be offered comped memberships to the Trump club. washingtonpost.com/politics/…

I’ve been telling people this was happening for months.
They have fucking group chats where they coordinate their messaging with influencers. And they’re almost certainly using government money to pay the influencers.
It appears @bennyjohnson has now deleted his X post where he clearly pre-composed a post about Sen. Schmitt getting Jack Smith to perjure himself. Genuinely crazy how many big accts on this website appear to be coordinating with Republican politicians behind the scenes.

My God in heaven. They are so unbelievably, truly stupid.

This is wild.
Ken Paxton has been in office in Texas since 2003, and he’s trying to blame Talarico for China owning 162,000 acres in Texas?
The ease with which they lie is pretty insane.

People keep saying Trump term II is the most corrupt administration ever, so I built a model to find out if it was true.
I took the UN's definition of corruption, turned it into eight criteria and 100 points, and scored the leaders history remembers for looting their countries: Marcos, Suharto, Mobutu, Abacha, Obiang, Putin.
Then I put every president since Eisenhower on the same scale, both parties, with every exoneration counted right alongside the convictions.
Nixon scored 41 and no other American President scored over a 25.
Trump's second term scored a 91, which ties him with Suharto and Mobutu and puts him above Marcos and Abacha.
So he is not only the most corrupt president in American history. At this pace he finishes his term level with the most corrupt rulers of the last hundred years.
PSA: don't come in my comments arguing about the results if you haven't read the full article, because ignorance is a choice.

BREAKING: 20+ Republican leaders just endorsed our campaign for US Senate.
We’re bringing Texans together onto one team to take power back for working people.
Because the real fight in this country isn't left versus right — it's top versus bottom.

Trump has offered Americans dividends, rebates, or checks FIFTEEN TIMES since February of 2025 and delivered ZERO.
Read with deeply furrowed brow while wringing hands vigorously
The on-again/off-again trade talks between the U.S. and Canada lead to higher costs, risk, and uncertainty for Maine businesses. If the Administration proceeds with these tariffs, they will increase costs for Maine families, as most businesses will have no choice but to pass on the tariffs to their customers through higher prices.
Maine imports approximately $2 billion in non-petroleum products from Canada each year. Ever since the tariffs were first announced, I have heard from many businesses, farmers, and lobstermen concerned about the cost of navigating the tariffs, the lack of domestic supply chains, and the likely imposition of retaliatory tariffs by Canada.
I urge both sides to return to the negotiating table. The Administration must consider the negative impact tariffs would have on Maine businesses, communities, and families and work to reach a fair agreement with our Canadian neighbors.

The depth of cravenness by Mark Walters of the @Dodgers is stunning. But a thought occurred to me, so I checked. And yes:
"U.S. prosecutors and the SEC are investigating Mark Walter's insurance companies and Guggenheim Partners for possible financial improprieties."

🚨BREAKING: The drained Reflecting Pool did not reveal any slices. Instead, tire marks were visible, obvious damage from Trump’s vanity drive in a fleet of 10-ton vehicles for no reason at all. He ruined his own project, then lied and blamed the citizens who paid for it.

🚨This is exactly how ICE agents create the very situations they later use to justify murdering citizens.
In the video, they box in the vehicle of a U.S. citizen. They approach with guns already drawn, and try to open her car door… while repeatedly ordering her to unlock it, and ignoring anything she says.
And notice how they don’t identify themselves. They don’t explain why she’s being detained. They don’t tell her what crime they suspect her of committing.
To the person inside the car, it’s just a group of masked, armed men surrounding her vehicle and trying to force their way in.
That’s how panic starts.
And when people panic, move their car, or try to get away from what they reasonably perceive as a violent threat, ICE agents open fire, and later claim the vehicle was “used as a weapon.”
Law enforcement cannot detain people without legal justification. The Fourth Amendment protects people from unreasonable searches and seizures, and officers are expected to clearly communicate their authority, and the basis for their actions.
They are supposed to de-escalate situations.
Instead, they use tactics to create fear and confusion… making it more likely someone will panic, and easier for agents to claim deadly force was necessary, while they violate the person’s constitutional rights.
When these tactics become standard practice, accountability becomes nonexistent.

THOMAS MASSIE: “It’s ironic that we control the House, Senate, Supreme Court, & the White House -- and we're yelling 'election fraud'? We won all the damn elections.
What are we doing with that? We’re bankrupting the country. We’re starting new wars. We’re violating the Constitution. We’re not cracking down on the fraud. The problem is not the elections. We won the damn elections. The problem is that we’re wasting the opportunity voters gave us."

New York City Mayor Mamdani just gave one of the most amazing speeches you will ever hear:
"We are told that America is exceptional because we are richer, stronger, and more powerful than everyone else.
"The truth, my friends, is that America is exceptional because here, nothing is fixed into place. The frontier may be closed. We may have walked on the moon. But the work of fulfilling the values first enshrined in the Declaration of Independence — that work endures, and it belongs to us all.
"It belongs, too, to our newest Americans: those standing here with me today, all of whom were recently naturalized. Nearly a decade ago, I, too, felt what you feel: the joy of no longer being just a New Yorker, but an American, too.
"You each hold a special power: the power to determine what America means.
"The powerful have always known their answer. America, in their view, is an arena of supremacy where only a select few are allowed freedom; where not all are created equal. America, if you ask them, becomes less the more people it welcomes. America, they will tell you, belongs only to those with the right accent or the right shade of skin. The rest of us, they insist, should be grateful for merely being allowed to visit.
"How small they are. How weak. How unoriginal.
"At every moment in our past, those who led through exclusion and isolation have tried to win power and enrich themselves by turning us against one another. Division is the oldest trick in politics — and the cheapest.
"But time and again, including 250 years ago, those forces of division have been vanquished by the forces of progress."
