BREAKING NEWS: OWEN SOUND ON TO LOSE APPROXIMATELY 360 JOBS
Another devastating announcement for Owen Sound and the families who call our community home.
➡️TC Transcontinental has confirmed it will be closing its RBW Graphics printing facility in Owen Sound at the end of January 2027.
➡️Approximately 360 employees will lose their jobs as a result of the closure.
Employees learned the news during a company-wide meeting Wednesday afternoon at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
The company says changes in its printing operations will allow production to be consolidated at other facilities.
➡️More than a century of local history
The business traces its roots back to 1907, when it operated as Richardson, Bond & Wright. Generations of local residents have worked there, building careers, supporting their families and contributing to Owen Sound’s economy.
The company says it will provide severance and career transition assistance to affected employees.
But behind those 360 jobs are real people, families, mortgages, bills and futures that have suddenly become uncertain.
The recent announcement involving Owen Sound’s grain elevators is yet another difficult headline for this small community.

Last night I watched the Buffalo/Detroit NFL game, do you know what stood out for me from the start of the game ?
The Canadian Anthem was sung by the Barenaked Ladies before the USA Anthem, all the sports fans in Buffalo’s new Stadium stood respectfully and listened, not ONE BOO was heard ! These are sports fans of CLASS👍👍🇺🇸
