FB the last few days has been CRAZY! The Karmelo Anthony supporters and those against Karmelo have found common ground on 1 thing, they are all in agreement for their disdain of 1 specific influencer. Biggest takeaway @MaryAnnreports is owed an apology. Per the Collin county court records total cost to third parties for records has been ~$580 total. Majority of those expenses paid were by MaryAnn Martinez (Daily mail) and The Shield Advocates & Ambassadors. Shirley Troche filed several and appears to be the news producer for TMZ. The influencers total costs are from 2 requests on 6.30.25 and 7.18.25 equaling a combined total of $28. In the end unlikely people have found common ground, several verifiable documents including a DFPS report have been partially released and it’s wild. It appears to stem from the many people who have been burned or directly harmed due to negligent reporting over the years. The whole back and forth is wild to observe. These accounts are anonymous in nature and all sides are accusing the other of being the influencer or working with one side or the other as it pertains to Karmelo. Bottom line in my opinion, influencers need to stay out of the true crimes spaces.

Has anyone actually read or listened to the original video and statements Jeanetta Brantley posted on July 27th? Jeanetta is a professional audio engineer and sound designer with over 15 years of experience in entertainment post-production (dialogue editing, mixing, and sound design). She has credits on multiple film and television projects currently available to stream. She has never identified herself as a forensic audio analyst—that label was applied by others. Her work appears on IMDb and her portfolio is on her business site, Audio Done Right. What was the intent behind releasing old misdemeanor records Jeanetta never lied about or hid, without the full court documents for context? What was the intent behind attempts to damage what was believed to be their only business (Smart Vegan)? It did not clarify the audio. It simply expanded the conflict. Jeanetta and her wife Ashley have never threatened anyone or any influencers, despite being repeatedly misidentified. I spoke with them directly. They made clear they never wished or intended harm toward Nolan’s family or his friends. They have not doxxed, shared names or homes of Nolan’s friends. Jeanetta is a true-crime enthusiast who shared her work with what she believed was a small audience at the time. She did not seek or anticipate the scale of attention that followed. I hold no opinion on the Nolan Wells case. It remains under investigation and it is too early to assert conclusions. To my knowledge these women were never involved in the Karmelo trial. I stepped in only because I watched private people get thrust into the national spotlight and then judged by people who never spoke with them. Whether one agrees with their perspective or not, they are still entitled to speak and share information. The Brantley’s are not journalists. This is not an endorsement of Jeanetta’s audio work. It is not a statement about guilt. The original post was amplified with half-truths and screenshots that did not include the full source or material. Real investigators examine the primary material and relevance of information before directing accusations. The focus should remain on Nolan Wells—the facts of the investigation, and respect for a life that was lost. Not on parents, friends, secondary characters, or assumptions about anyone’s character. A young man is gone. That is the only reality that should sit at the center of this conversation. Any ethical journalist self proclaimed or not should retract, and correct the record. Otherwise they are simply an influencers as the standards and code of ethics for professional journalists was not adhered to. The same due diligence should have been done before amplifying a narrative that furthers division.
