The proposed Lugogo Sports Complex, to be built by Turkish firm Summa (the builders of Kigali's BK Arena and Hoima's Stadium), would have:
👉 15000 seating capacity
👉 A 3,000-seater second arena
👉 120 guest rooms & showroom
👉 Fitness gym, 8 lane swimming pool & hockey pitch
👉 A real game-changer for indoor sports in Uganda!
👉 Cost is About USD 210m (Shs 777bn).
It's also planned as the main indoor venue for the 2031 Africa Games, which Uganda just won the right to host.
Construction is set to commence after 2027 AFCON.

Żurawie pokonały właśnie po rzutach karnych (0-0 w regulaminowym czasie) Somalię 🇸🇴 oraz tym samym sięgnęły po kolejne mistrzostwo strefy CECAFA — poprzednio zdobywali je w 2009, 2019, 2020 oraz 2024 roku. ⭐️
Somalijczycy natomiast mają prawo czuć niedosyt, ponieważ zagrali naprawdę dobre spotkanie i mieli szansę zdobyć swoje drugie trofeum tego turnieju — w 2022 roku triumfowali pokonując w finale 3-1 Sudan Południowy. 🇸🇸
Już dzisiaj finałowy dzień Mistrzostw CECAFA u17. 🌍🏆
O godzinie 15:30 reprezentacja 🇺🇬 Ugandy podejmie w finale Somalię 🇸🇴 — obie ekipy mają już zagwarantowany udział na przyszłorocznym Pucharze Narodów Afryki u17, a o to głównie była gra w tym turnieju. Trofeum to zawsze będzie przyjemny dodatek do gabloty, szczególnie dla Somalijczyków, ale to Żurawie są zdecydowanymi faworytami.
Jednak ciekawszy mecz według mnie zapowiada się o 12:30 — 🇷🇼 Rwanda zagra z Etiopią 🇪🇹 o 3. miejsce, które da awans na PNA u17. Stawka więc tutaj jest paradoksalnie większa. „Czerwone Lisy” grały już na tegorocznym PNA u17 i prawie wyszły z grupy (jednocześnie prawie awansując na Mundial u17), natomiast Amavubi nie grali na kontynentalnym czempionacie od 2011 roku, kiedy to byli gospodarzami turnieju. Awansu więc generalnie nigdy nie wywalczyli.
