Twisted Frequency, a New Year’s music festival in Golden Bay, has cancelled Israeli DJ Dekel Kamioski, known professionally as DEKEL, after discovering that he once served in the Israel Defense Forces, continues to perform in Israel, and has failed to make the requisite public denunciation of his country.
The organisers stated,
“We have not managed to uncover anything verified and substantial about his personal beliefs but the fact he hasn’t spoken out against the genocide in Palestine and has continued to perform in Israel is all that is needed to make our decision confidently.”

Once again I was humbled to represent @IsraelMFA at the annual memorial ceremony for the brave @Anzac who died in the battle of Be’er Sheva . According to the @Australia government department of Veteran Affairs: ”The capture of Be'er Sheva in 1917 by Australian troops
under the command of General Sir Harry Chauvel was a momentous victory against the odds which changed the course of history for Palestine, the Middle East and ultimately for the emergence of the State of Israel”.

Israel condemns the latest attack on Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom in Montreal.
This synagogue has been targeted by antisemitic attacks before, as have Jewish schools, synagogues, and Jewish-owned businesses across Canada.
The crisis of antisemitism in Canada has reached alarming levels, seriously undermining the safety and sense of security of the country's Jewish community.
The Canadian government has fueled an anti-Israel climate that has contributed to the appalling surge of antisemitism across Canada, the worst in Canadian history. We expect the Canadian authorities to bring those responsible to justice and to adopt and enforce a zero-tolerance policy toward antisemitism.
The Jewish community in Canada deserves to live in safety, without fear or intimidation.

Another diplomatic achievement: Israel joins the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) as a Forum Partner.
The Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum, Baron Divavesi Waqa, has informed me that Israel has been accepted as a Forum Partner, following a decision at the meeting of the Forum’s member state leaders in Palau.
This follows my visit to Fiji in June, where I met with the Secretary General and presented Israel’s request to join the Forum.
Strengthening ties with the Pacific Island nations is one of my objectives. Earlier this year, I opened Israel’s Embassy in Fiji, which also serves nine other Pacific Island nations, all friendly to Israel.
Under the current government, three of these countries, Papua New Guinea, Fiji and Nauru, have opened embassies in Jerusalem.
As a Forum Partner, Israel will participate in a framework for cooperation in areas of mutual interest, based on regional priorities and Israel’s expertise in water management, desalination, agriculture, tackling climate change, innovation and sustainable development.
Israel and the Forum will also develop a joint action plan setting out practical areas of cooperation and a mechanism to monitor progress.

From assassination plots targeting leaders of the Iranian diaspora and Jewish community to the imprisonment, torture and execution of those demanding freedom at home, the Islamic regime's campaign of repression threatens both the Iranian people and communities around the world.
At a recent Parliament Hill press conference, former Justice Minister @IrwinCotler and Iranian pro-democracy advocate @ShilanMirzaee warned of the scale of these threats and the consequences of failing to confront them.
Canada must work with international partners to hold the regime accountable, list its proxy Kata’ib Hezbollah as a terrorist entity under the criminal code (linked to recent terrorist plots targeting Jewish centers), and ensure our country is not a safe haven for IRGC operatives or Iranian officials who threaten Canadians.

In a forceful speech at the European Parliament, MEP @CelineImart warned against the infiltration of European institutions by Islamist networks, particularly those linked to the Muslim Brotherhood.
