In France, people are protesting the announcement of a vaccine passport by the Macron government. The pass would restrict access to restaurants, shopping malls, hospitals, trains, and planes. Vaccines will also be made mandatory for healthcare workers. teapaw.org/laurentbigfr/status/14…

Anyone attempting to equate this 'emergency authorisation' to common, long running vaccinations for children (for diseases that can actually kill them) is either being stupid or dishonest. This is inexcusable. Stop using children as human shields and guinea pigs.

Gavin Newsom’s new school mask mandate is as ignorant as it is cruel. I’ll reverse this outrage on day one.

This myocarditis risk for young men is worrisome, and I don’t know why it isn’t all over the news.
"CDC’s declaration that the rates of myocarditis following vaccination are no higher than baseline projects an unfounded certitude." I dig into the details of FDA vax approval and CDC adverse event tracking, in my latest for @NYMag nymag.com/intelligencer/2021…

Reporters hand-wringing about whether NYC could be doing more to improve remote seem to be missing a few things. 1. Piles of evidence that all-remote systems are failing. Even when ALL THE RESOURCES are there, outcomes are troubling. Which is why parents lobby for #openschools.
How is remote learning going so far this year as we head into the Thanksgiving break, roughly three months into the school year? A roundup of reports from around the country:

My opponent has received $2.8M for this race largely from out of district special interests. She refuses to debate and seems to be taking voters for granted. #CADeservesBetter #NoOn15 #SanDiego #PatriotsUnited melanieforassembly.com
A handful of special interests have spent more on California legislative elections this year than everyone else combined. That explains the soullessness of our State Capitol.

On Friday, MSNBC's @chrislhayes urged a return to school for kids -- next semester. Predictable fireworks ensued. teapaw.org/chrislhayes/status/131…
Every public school district in America should be planning for in person school next semester. It can be done safely, *even in places with pretty high community transmission*. We now have pretty good data to show that.
