For the first time: The pilots who landed the Flydubai flight have been revealed.
They entered the cockpit after the Indian pilot, Sumit Machhar, was attacked with an axe during an attempted suicide attack.
They managed to land the Boeing in Saudi Arabia, despite part of its tail having been broken off.
Following a commendation ceremony in the UAE—where they were honored alongside Machhar—the pilots' names have been disclosed: Hanson Stephen from Fiji and Rowan Toth from South Africa.

In this picture Ilhan Omar’s other brother Mohamed Nur ‘Dhay-Lule’ (nicknamed Milkshake’) who lives in London in the United Kingdom posts a picture of himself in Moscow sometime in the 1990s when Ilhan claimed they were in a Kenyan refugee camp.
Ilhan Omar’s sister Leila Elmi then comments “Old memories… hahaha it was like yesterday” indicating the family travelled on from Kenya, and spent time in Moscow, Russia, before reappearing in London and the United States.
Far from being poor refugees, her brother appears well dressed, in what looks like designer clothing. Siad Barre loyalists like Ilhan Omar’s father not only committed the brutal Isaaq Genocide, but fled with Somalia’s entire national reserves, central bank reserves, and private bank deposits. In Nigeria, the killings of Christians by Islamist groups have continued for years. Villages are attacked at night. Churches are burned. Men, women and children are shot, cut down, or as in this video, beheaded. Bodies are left where they fall or dumped in shallow graves the survivors are sometimes forced to dig.
The groups responsible are Boko Haram, ISWAP, and armed Fulani militias in the Middle Belt. They don’t even hide their aim. They state it and film it, and they celebrate it. Just like Hamas and Isis and Hezbollah and other jihadist groups. The tactics and atrocities are exactly the same.
The pattern is the same across states too, with selective targeting of Christian communities, destruction of homes and farms, abduction of girls, and the public display of corpses.
International coverage is intermittent if any at all. The numbers of dead accumulate in local reports and church records more than they do in global headlines.
What remains visible, when anyone looks, is the same sequence and pattern. An attack, a list of names, a mass grave, and the knowledge that the next one is already being prepared.
