🧊 Seasonal cycle: this @NASA animation shows two years of Antarctic sea ice, daily from 25/4/21 to 25/4/23.
🤏 Sea ice reached its lowest recorded extent on 19/2/23, at 1.77 million sq km.
📉 In 2022 and 2023, net sea-ice extent dropped below 2 million sq km for the first time.
