Today, I shipped a fully functional in-app notifications inbox. Today is Day 300 of 365 Days of Code. It brings community, learning, mentorship, and account updates into one place, with unread indicators, filters, and a notification count on the header bell. Opening a notification marks it as read and takes you directly to the relevant post, course, credential, or review. I also connected notifications to activities like follows, posts and replies, course progress, assessments, projects, coding challenges, achievements, mentorship, and reviewer decisions.

Starting today, I’ll be sharing quick reviews here of products that have earned a review on @FounderBattle 👀 What they do, who they’re for, and what stood out to me. It’s another way to help founders get more visibility alongside their battles and activity in the community. You’re putting the work into building. I want to help more people discover what you’ve made :)

I’m building Coddle Learn, an open-source interactive learning platform for developers. Day 296 of 365 Days of Code. I continued working on the Reviewers feature, fixing bugs and refining the functionality.
I'm currently building Coddle Learn, an open-source interactive learning platform for developers. Today is Day 295 of 365 Days of Code. Today, I worked on the Reviewers page, building a review system to help maintain the quality of community-contributed content. Reviewers can now review courses, projects, resources, and tools, then approve, decline, or flag submissions. Declined and flagged submissions require a note explaining what needs to be fixed, giving contributors clear feedback. I also implemented two publishing modes: automatic publishing, where submissions go live immediately, and manual review, where new submissions wait for approval. The review queue supports filtering by submission type, items awaiting review, flagged content, and recent decisions. Reviewers can preview submissions before making decisions, and access is restricted to authorized reviewers. On the creator side, Studio now notifies contributors when their submissions are awaiting review instead of publishing them immediately.

Real progress requires active execution, not just laying a foundation and leaving it stagnant. Build in a way that creates undeniable value.

So basically, today PHP got two critical bugs that let anyone run code on your server without even logging in, which is bad, and then the details leaked before the patch was even out, which is worse, and it works on WordPress and MediaWiki and Magento and Joomla and Laravel, and Censys says like 1.5 million servers are running a version with no fix, so the NSA was like "take your system offline," and the FBI was like "take your system offline," and CISA and the UK and CERT-EU were all like "take your system offline," and then the Prime Minister of Japan, the actual Prime Minister, posted at 5:55 in the morning telling 48.8 million people to take their system offline, so everyone took their system offline, like the Dutch cybersecurity agency took its own website offline, and the Dutch parliament went offline, and the Port of Rotterdam went offline, and Finland and France and Denmark started pulling government sites, and Wikipedia went down, and Archive.org went down, and Asana and GOG and Something Awful went down, and the University of Vienna's webmail went down for some reason, and that's just PHP. Because GitLab also dropped a CVSS 10.0, which is the highest score they give out, for a bug that's been there since 2014, so that's every self-hosted GitLab for twelve years, and then LiteLLM 1.107.0 got hijacked and shipped a credential stealer and a remote access trojan in every single wheel and the Docker images, including latest, and you didn't even have to import it, just installing it was enough, and it's the second time this year, and then Railway paused every deployment on the entire platform because someone got into the environment variables, so now everyone has to rotate every secret they've ever stored there, and TiDB Cloud said someone was walking around inside with stolen credentials for basically a month and an extortion group says they took 10.6 terabytes, and Zeabur got breached for the second time in two months and is just shutting down, like the whole company, and Node.js patched remote code execution and a TLS bypass, and CISA says Plex is being actively exploited, and someone took over 300 Tor exit relays to steal SSH passwords, and SafePay ransomware has hit over 600 critical infrastructure orgs, and India's biggest bank filed a data loss incident, and Japan has been in an official state of emergency in cyberspace since October 9, which honestly explains the 5:55 AM post. Oh, and eMudhra, a certificate authority that's issued over 60 million certificates, whose entire job is proving websites are who they say they are, was supposed to be using private keys that are random numbers over a hundred digits long, and one of them was 4. Just 4. And the others were like 66 and 237. Anyway, it's Wednesday.

I’m still away on my honeymoon. Currently in Hong Kong. Today’s @Cap v0.6.1 launch was all scheduled. No stress. Hardly used my laptop, only in the evening for a moment if there was a support issue blocked earlier that day. @Cap is having another record month and this is the least amount of effort I’ve ever put in (been away all month!). The generational lock-in that is about to occur when I’m back home is going to be incredible.

Just my opinion, but I believe education and infrastructure will play a huge role in the next phase of tech in Africa. 🌍💻 I’m still learning, still building, and doing my part to contribute to that future as we work towards 2030. We have a lot to build, and I’m excited to be part of the journey. 🛠️🚀

For generations, Swiss artisans have understood that precision comes from expertise. It lives in the hands that shape each piece, in the materials chosen and in the details that take time to perfect. You deserve better. That is why we went to Switzerland to find that spirit of craftsmanship and the people who could bring it into the Deone world. Working alongside experted craftspeople, we carefully selected materials and refined each finish, giving the physical pieces within our Suite the attention they deserve. From the first impression to the smallest detail, each piece brings that ambition to life. The weight in your hand. The texture beneath your fingertips. The finish that catches the light. This is where the Deone standard takes shape.
