DeepSeek might as well open source the whole company at this point.
“We’re sharing our production stack to help the community lower compute costs, reduce energy use, and make AI more affordable.”
🚀 Introducing DeepInfer, our in-house inference framework, now fully open source!
Powering DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash at scale with high throughput and low latency. We’re sharing our production stack to help the community lower compute costs, reduce energy use, and make AI more affordable.

“We found DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 beats GPT 6 Sol on our multi-step offensive cybersecurity task.”
READ THAT AGAIN.
the same cyber capabilities that OpenAI kept behind a gate got beaten by a Chinese open model you can run locally.
buckle up guys.
We found DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 beats GPT 6 Sol on our multi-step offensive cybersecurity task. Sol was tested via the Daybreak trusted access program.
We have been building a cybersecurity benchmark based on simulated corporate networks. This is a valuable indicator for the cyber-risk a model poses if in the hands of a bad actor. We plan to make the full evaluation public in the coming weeks but wanted to share our first immediate finding here.

We are living in such an incredible time. You can get Astra to discover and one-shot something called "Minato-Morreale ISOP recurrence" to make your code ~12,000x faster.
Big news: DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-20261017 (Max) by @deepseek_ai is now the #1 open model in Agent Arena! It just landed at #11 overall with +5.1% net improvement across +7.5K real-world sessions.
This performance also reshapes the Agent Arena Pareto frontier! All models above V4.1-Flash 20261017 in performance are proprietary at much higher cost. At $0.20 median cost per task, that’s ~37% of GPT-6.1 Sol’s improvement for about 27% of the cost.
By signal, this release achieves:
- #8 in Confirmed Success with +11.5% (#1 open)
- #11 in Praise vs. Complaint with +5.9% (#1 open)
- #12 in Bash Reliability with +5.4% (#1 open)
- #13 in Steerability with +2.5% (#1 open)
- No issues with Tool Hallucination
Find more info on signals at the link in thread on Agent Arena.
Congrats to the @deepseek_ai team on this release!
Exciting news: DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-20261017 (Max) by @deepseek_ai is now the #1 open model in Code Arena: WebDev, surpassing Kimi K3 (Max) at 10x lower cost!
Highlights:
- #1 open model, ahead of Kimi K3 (Max)
- #12 overall with 1670 pts, ahead of Claude Opus 5 (High) and within ~10 pts of GPT-6 Sol (Max)
- Shifts the Pareto frontier at $0.3/$1.2 per million input/output tokens
- +52 pts vs. the previous DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-20260910
Congrats to the @deepseek_ai team on another strong contribution to the open source ecosystem!

‼️ China proposes banning exports of AI used for cybersecurity.
It wants to ban exports of:
- AI that writes malware beating a mainstream antivirus 85%+ of the time
- AI malware that escapes sandboxes or rewrites 50%+ of its own code per run
- AI agents built for defence or critical infrastructure
- AI models trained on China's "core data"
A licence would be needed for:
- AI that finds 5+ unknown high-severity flaws in a major OS on its own
- AI that builds working exploit chains for major operating systems or browsers
- Weights of models with 2T+ parameters or a global top-10 ranking
- AI chip and memory chip designs

Dawg, someone get Discord on the horn and tell their CEO his company is a fucking piece of shit. This exploit is devastating and if this guy didn't tell them, and instead decided to weaponize it, he could have fucking destroyed end users.
All bro would have had to do is be like. "Check out this Twitch streamers clip", and destroyed their machine, executing any malware they wanted arbitrarily, stealing data, whatever.
Bro could have gone to large Discord channels, shared the link, potentially infecting thousands upon thousands of people effortlessly
He could have down more precise operations targeting prominent streamers, moderators, celebrities known to use Discord, and fucking wiped them all out with anything he chose to execute
Imagine if he sold this exploit to ransomware groups
He could have made millions of dollars, easily
Imagine if he went into a cryptocurrency Discord and the payload was a cryptodrainer. He could have drained entire communities in seconds
And they paid bro $5,500
That's absolutely sickening. JayTaelien is a fucking saint and decides a much larger payouf
A weekly jab in the belly is generating more revenue than the entire AI industry.
Ozempic + Mounjaro: $71B in 2025.
OpenAI + Anthropic: $29B.
And they've barely started. ~2% of the 800 million eligible patients can currently access them.

OpenCode is currently under a sustained cyberattack, and mid-incident they ran into the same problem Hugging Face did: the frontier models they were using for defense began refusing to help fight attacking agents because analyzing the attacks started triggering safety guardrails.

yes that was a bit frustrating mid incident when trying to investigate. they did quite a bit and then started refusing

SHOCKING: We have confirmed that multiple Neoclouds have been refused access to GTC Berlin due to them adding AMD GPUs, TPUs, and other chips to their cloud offerings
Note that this doesn't apply to hyperscalers, as they have more buying power. But for neoclouds, executives feel NVIDIA has been using high-pressure tactics to keep them NVIDIA-only.
As such, neocloud executives are starting to consider offering TPUs or AMD GPUs quietly to avoid getting pressured by NVIDIA and to avoid the feeling that NVIDIA will retaliate.

SHOCKING: Many neocloud executives we spoke with feel that if they have non-NVIDIA networking gear on their cluster, or if their cloud has an AMD GPU or TPU offering, NVIDIA will retaliate. They feel that retaliation includes not giving early allocation or no longer supporting a potential IPO/VC raise.(1/3)🧵
