You have to say @englandcricket look pretty smooth in their new training tops
Or should that be crunchy?
Incredibly, this is what the outfield at Woodhouse looked like a year ago - a duck pond
Compare that to the parched grounds we have at the moment!
The Chris Dempster Award (previously Clubman of the Year) is held by @IamAndyBuchan - but who was the 2024 winner?
The awards for last season are dribbling out - so far we've only managed to hand over Best Fielder to @gavinemmett
Best Bowler, Best Batter and the Jess Wijnberg awards will be presented when the season actually starts
First fixture:
Tues 6 May v Thanks For Coming at Woodhouse
We're doing things differently this year by heaving a pre-season event at @sixescricketuk in Headingley this Friday
New batch of pink balls has arrived just in time for those gloomy August evenings
Hopefully we won't need them tonight v @ThanksCricket
And that's match 2 called off as well after yesterday's biblical bank holiday rain left the outfield at Woodhouse looking like a duck pond 🦆
Frustratingly our first fixture of the season was called off because the ground was still too wet - but hopefully we'll get underway with a game against @ThanksCricket next Tuesday at Woodhouse
