Crypto in 2014: "We're going to replace the banks."
Crypto in 2026: "Please verify your identity to withdraw your stablecoin."
DigiByte didn't forget why we started.

No margin calls.
When digibyte:native drops, #DigiDollar doesn't sell your collateral out from under you. There are no forced liquidations. Your #Digibyte sits in a time-locked vault at 200% to 1000% collateral, depending on lock length, until the lock expires and you burn the DigiDollars to get it back.

The fee attached to a $DGB transaction is part of the miner's reward for the block that includes it. ⛏️
It isn't a subscription paid to the wallet application every time you open it.
"Don't trust, verify" is easy to say.
DigiDollar makes it practical. The collateral, the rules, and the price signatures all live on-chain where anyone can check them.

Words of the day: full node.
A computer that keeps its own copy of the #DigiByte chain and checks every block against the rules itself, no trust required. Lots of quiet boxes doing that is what decentralization actually looks like.

Money has always had gatekeepers.
Kings minted coins. Banks issued notes. Companies issue stablecoins.
#DigiDollar is minted by whoever locks the collateral.
Very different kind of money.

Sending $DGB between two wallets you control still makes an on-chain transaction.
❗️ The network doesn't know that both ends belong to you. It processes the transaction according to the same rules as another payment, including the network fee.
For your own records, mark it as a transfer between your wallets. Otherwise, looking back at one wallet on its own can make an internal move look like money paid to somebody else. 💡

Quick wallet check, #DigiByte folks.
When did your digibyte:native wallet app last update? An abandoned wallet still opens fine. It just quietly stops getting safer. Thirty seconds in the app store now beats a bad surprise later.
Running a full node? Get DigiByte Core v9.26.7 from the official DigiByte-Core GitHub before Thaw Day.
Don't let the timeline write the story for you.
Here's what's actually happened:
🧱 DigiDollar is live on mainnet
🛠 Core v9.26.5, v9.26.6, and v9.26.7 all shipped in just a few months
💾 RAM use down about 60%
🌐 DD trading on multiple exchanges
⛏️ Pools, exchanges and nodes upgrading ahead of Nov 1
The noise fades. The work stays.
$DGB #DigiDollar
#DigiDollar doesn't care what country you're in, what bank you use, or whether you have one.
It only checks one thing: does the transaction follow the rules?
That's what neutral money looks like. $DGB
