been trying to measure pitcher's mound slopes and shapes from public lidar scans. i wonder how large a difference you'd need to appreciably affect pitches
i dont really have a sense of how serious/accurate/variable over time these are, mostly just having some fun :)

We have preliminary era-adjusted stats for Gibson, and they support this inclusion. He's the best catcher all-time, and his rate stats rival Babe Ruth!

It’s refreshing to know that modern day analytics are being used to accurately portray eras of competition.
You can’t go wrong with quoting Alice In Chains either.
We tend to think the lore comes first and the stats follow. But the stats can change whose stories get told, whose greatness gets recognized, and who becomes a legend.
We don't have to wait 20 years to appreciate present greatness. Here's the first case study using our updated 2026 era-adjusted stats. I encourage others to find and tell these stories too!

Couldn’t be more proud. I remember just hoping he’d be okay and alive, much-less pitch again. Once I saw he was out of the woods and made it through the surgeries, I had no doubt that he’d be the best pitcher he possibly could be. He’s a freak of nature, so of course at 36yrs old he fought his way back and remains among the top echelon of pitchers in the game. So proud of my little brother… but not surprised.💪
