I'm joining @OpenAI at the end of the month, and I can't wait to get started!
I'll be working on everything related to Codex, bringing what I learned building Codex Monitor, and working with the developer experience team with @romainhuet!
So I'm approaching the wrap up of all the system in Dark Veil. Here is a preview of the third pillar of the meta progression. Scrore will get you overall account level and skill points. That unlock minor, medium and major upgrades in a skill tree.
Iterating on the editor. I can now edit more things including the weather and I can instantly start to walk in the level to get an instant in game feel.
I had Astra (on high) grind all night on a goal on my custom engine as an engine engineer role to squeeze everything it can to optimize frame time. It's a success!

I really love video games. I’m playing quite a bit of them during holidays etc.. but fundamentally playing and making my own is just way more addictive. I kinda force myself to play a lot of games tho. To get a ton of ideas.

Astra helped decipher ancient scrolls and Sam won a $20k Gold Medal in in the Vesuvius Challenge Progress Prize! 🤯
I won the September $20,000 Gold Medal award in the Vesuvius Challenge Progress Prize for my work on automatically detecting and tracing papyrus fibers in 3D CT scans ! 🥇🏛️
I could never have made sense of the scale and complexity of the available data so quickly without frontier models like Astra.
Unwrapping ancient scrolls is about as “out of distribution” as it gets. So much still has to be figured out or invented, AI helps us explore unfamiliar territory, turn ideas into working experiments, and accomplish things that would have felt out of reach just a few years ago.
