OpenAI models are now on Azure, AWS, and very soon on Google Cloud!
Excited to help developers and teams build with OpenAI models on the stack they already know.

Our team worked with OpenCode to have their users who are also OpenAI API customers back in business and any credits refunded which would have been drawn in the attack.
Also, you can request Daybreak Blue access to use our cyber permissive setup for defense. Do not wait until you have to deal with an incident. We’re here to help.

EU sorry. We’re making it so that
(a) if you had created a dot elsewhere and find yourself in the EU it will keep working
(b) dots are coming to the EU in the future

A lot of folks getting into game dev with ai don’t know this but, you really need to make sure your game is fun without a bunch of fancy art.
Llms make it too easy to build visually rich levels with no real gameplay. That’s backwards!

This is bullshit, Kenney. I’m the same tech tree following optimist who moved from C to C++, from 2D to 3D, and from closed source to open source. I run a company. I write code. I contribute to published papers. I’ve upped my expectations of AI. Up yours!

When I was writing Unreal Engine 1, my time was divided as follows:
- Around 30% went to seriously deep coding on hard problems: assembly language texture mappers, C++ BSP trees, data persistence, object oriented systems design, and networking.
- Around 70% was just typing and refactoring large bodies of code needed for a complete engine feature set. This was not hard, and while I was doing it my mind was mostly on the deeper coding topics, thinking and planning for what's next. It didn't feel much different from vibe coding today, except that it was just me typing code on an IBM Model M keyboard rather than prompting it and reviewing the results.
So, it has always seemed perfectly logical that we would rely on AI for that 70%, once the AI could do it with a similar quality standard as we could, which has never been perfection. It came as no surprise that, after a few years of AI model evolution, it was able to take the reigns on that 70% and free up programmers' time for more valuable tasks.
What's more of a surprise is the emergence of AI as a sort of insta-Carmack able to solve hard technical problems quite cleverly and often cleanly, and that it's able to reason about and work in complex 3D scenes both by operating the tools and by directly understanding the raw data files.
I abandoned assembly language in 1998 when out-of-order CPUs made much simpler C/C++ code faster, and never I missed it. If prompting through architectural documents, concept art, and design plans can transcend typing code and tweaking vertices, that will enable developers to spend their time on higher-level, higher value technical and creative tasks.
What matters is the end product, whether it's a game or an engine. Anything developers can do to try out more ideas and make better software and games faster is a win for everyone.

Software maintenance is changing. A few months ago, I had to tell Codex exactly where to look for dead code. Now it can find candidates in Slack, check them against production telemetry, and draft cleanup PRs. Here’s how we do this at OpenAI.

A few big upgrades for Chrome users today! We’re bringing the power of computer use to anyone who uses Chrome.
First up: ChatGPT can now use your tabs in Chrome to make answers more useful and get things done for you.
If you’re in Chat, it can look across your open tabs and gather info.
If you’re in Work, ChatGPT can control your Chrome tabs to get things, like sending messages, filling out forms, or downloading files. It can even help you organize and group that pile of tabs you have open.

team landed a bunch of updates to dots 🙌
new things:
- create your dot on iOS / Android + open ChatGPT straight into it
- kick off Codex work and follow up on threads, with context from your chats, Codex threads and automations
- review + edit Scheduled Tasks
and a whole bunch of fixes:
- faster cloud browsing + sidebar loading, fewer pauses, smoother scrolling, less network usage
- fewer phone notifications when you’re already using ChatGPT
- cleaner code blocks + attachments, fixed Safari / Firefox character rendering
- smarter thread reuse, automatic renaming, fewer repeated “created task” messages
- clearer plans, retries when activity won’t load, more stable safety banners + approval buttons that don’t get clipped or hidden
- Enterprise web + voice access fixes
keep the feedback coming!!
