Future of #healthcare & #lifesciences will be powered by decentralized tech & #AI. So it's a WIN to participate in Conv2X symposium - by @BHTYJournal. Enjoyed speaking on panel about #blockchain #tokenization of #health data as a real world asset #RWA - moderated by Keri Lorincz (@BosBlockAssoc), along with Dinesh Mendhe (@TheAILaborg) and Dr. Mihaela Ulieru (@SingularityNET). Great chance to talk about @SignSplitIP giving power to #researchdata from academia & scientific firms, plus PULZ Health. Also met many #emergingtech minds including @UhOhSusan, Tricia Wang (@AAI_Society), Donald Cox, and @JNasr (@acoerco -missed a pic with you!) And of course, it's always joy to visit #Cambridge & #Boston as weather turns into autumn (and soon wet) season. Crisp air of Northeast USA is always a WIN. – at Cambridge, MA

"The cold is stronger than us...we let go." How do we scientifically measure the impact of trust and intuition in reducing stress and improving lives of people living with cancer? We need data and a scientific protocol to study it. We explore this and more within our Wim Hof Method (WHM) as novel therapy for cancer study. The study starts on May 18. We're still recruiting for the final spots in our Treatment Group. Join us for this important, first of its kind study. Register as a participant at coldtherapy.acoer.com. @Iceman_Hof @acoerco @ResearchHubF @ResearchHubF #coldtherapy #mindset #cancer #inflammation #DataSovereignty #SafeAI #blockchain #WHM

What, if anything, is the role of decentralized technologies in AI for healthcare? What do regulators need to do to ensure health data sovereignty for patients in the face of unregulated, centrally controlled AI? How do we build resilient global health systems? Join me and this brilliant panel on World Health Day (April 7) to discuss these types of questions and more, and their implications on building sustainable and equitable global health solutions in Africa and beyond. Thank you Africa Centre of Excellence in Blockchain Research for hosting this important and timely discussion. Wow!
Your opportunity to participate in a first-of-its-kind open science study! We're actively recruiting participants, treatment and control groups, for our Wim Hof Method (WHM) for Cancer project on @ResearchHub. Our 16-week, fully remote feasibility study is exploring whether WHM can be an effective novel therapy for people living with cancer. As a participant, you're not a subject, you're one of our co-investigators! And, you own your data, with full sovereignty and control over it. Every consent is on-chain and revocable by you at any time. Every data input or #PrivateAI training that we do is verified on a public #blockchain. Your results feed into an AI-powered research platform built on 20+ existing peer-reviewed relevant studies. Last, but not least, @Iceman_Hof will, personally, lead some breathwork sessions, along with our other Certified WHM Instructors. Contact me or other core team members with any questions. See full study details at: researchhub.com/proposal/445… See our participant portal at: coldtherapy.acoer.com/ #Cancer #WHM #Breath #Cold #ColdTherapy #WimHof #OpenScience #DeSci

Excellent talk with @EricTopol and @KevinJTraceyMD! I was particularly interested on the potential of cold therapy as a means for activation of the vagus nerve...definitely room for further clinical exploration. As Dr. Tracey mentioned, at the very least, it's proven (including by @Iceman_Hof and many others) that acute controlled fight or flight is anti-inflammatory. There's a lot of health benefits and potential for novel therapies just in that.
Such a great conversation with @EricTopol Topol about vagus nerve stimulation ranging from the early experiments that seemed like science fiction to today’s FDA-approved device for RA. We covered mechanism, clinical data, and future trials. youtu.be/CU31kjTMaKk?si=Tsu4…

𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗹𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗺𝘀 Been asked this question a lot lately, so here's my go-to list. These books took me from "what's Big-O?" to actually understanding algorithms. 🟢 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝟭. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 - Ferreira Filho & Pictet Super thin book, covers everything at a high level: ideas, logic, Big-O, recursion, data structures. The goal isn't depth—it's building your vocabulary—perfect first step. 👉 amzn.to/41jr6Ys 𝟮. 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗹𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗺𝘀 - Aditya Bhargava This one's fun. LOTS of diagrams, minimal code, actually makes you laugh while learning. Takes concepts from book #1 and goes deeper. No prior knowledge needed. Best book to actually start your algorithm journey. 👉 amzn.to/3HoyY4k 🟡 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝟯. 𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻-𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗦𝗔 - Jay Wengrow For self-taught devs and bootcamp grads. Practical approach, multiple languages (Ruby, Python, JavaScript). Explains the "why," not just "how." Really good at making time complexity click. 👉 amzn.to/45OmhaU 𝟰. 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 - Gayle McDowell The interview prep bible. 189 problems with detailed solutions. Not just algorithms—teaches you how to think through issues and communicate solutions. Must-have if you're job hunting. 👉 amzn.to/45LMSW1 🔴 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝟱. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗹𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗺𝘀 (𝗖𝗟𝗥𝗦) - Cormen et al. The bible. 1,300+ pages. On every serious programmer's shelf. Much more math, rigorous analysis, and pseudocode for everything. Not for beginners, but you'll reference this throughout your entire career. 👉 amzn.to/47abcDB 𝟲. 𝗔𝗹𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗺𝘀 - Jeff Erickson (FREE) Outstanding balance of math rigor and practical insight. Funny writing, extensive exercises. Requires mathematical maturity but rewards deep study. 👉 jeffe.cs.illinois.edu/teachi… And this is my advice: - Complete beginners: Read 1 → 2 → 5 - Self-taught/practical: Start with 2 → 3 → 4 - Interviewing soon: Jump straight to 4, reference others as needed - Want it all: Do them in order Also check out: github.com/tayllan/awesome-a… — great practice resource. Remember: this isn't a sprint. Implement what you learn, and be patient with yourself. The concepts will click eventually. What algorithm books changed your game?
