So, one of my local antiques centres has a lot of second-hand books. It turns out that this includes almost an entire Discworld collection.
I helped myself to 5 paperbacks just so that I can have every Josh Kirby cover for my collection to make it feel a bit more uniform.
A family member found some second hand Pratchett hardbacks, so I can replace books I loaned to other people. I also have a copy of Night Watch with a dust jacket, after losing the dust jacket for my copy years ago.
Getting ready for the Witches Abroad episode, and it's the first of two Pratchett Books that I got signed.
Do YOU have any signed Pratchett books?
Any memories from a Terry Pratchett signing?
Have you seen or performed a Discworld play?
If so, then let us know.
The only one that I've see was this production of The Truth, from 15 years ago.
Like Sarah I also take notes. Unlike Sarah, I own 2 copies of Wyrd Sisters. The side on shot shows what a difference 1.5pt size makes to a book: In this case, an extra 80 pages. The smaller copy is probably 34 years old.
Further to everything I said on @DiscWorldOrder, I'm not saying Wyrd Sisters rewards a lot of in-depth discussion, but here's a taster of what my copy looks like now...
ALT A copy of Wyrd Sisters with multicoloured sticky notes sticking out of pages all the way around
ALT Annotated page from inside Wyrd Sisters
ALT Annotated page with long notes in the margins from Wyrd Sisters
I found this advert for the 1st Discworld PC game in the pack of an old Corgi Paperback.
I love the quaintness of 1 bullet point being the voice cast (stars of Monty Python, Blackadder & Dr Who), and 1 bullet point being "there are fades, pans, dissolves & close ups".
Spotify for Podcasters seems to be future proofing.
Although there is a distinct lack of turtle based locations.
