At this point, Dr. Fred Matiangi was the “de facto” President (EO no.1 of 2019) and he too did nothing, other than blame the bus driver for reckless driving.
Kenyans who celebrate Uhuru and want to put Matiangi to power should know that the country has moved on.
Kenya cannot go back to the mediocrity and incompetence of the @4thPresidentKE era.
Enziu bridge that crosses Enziu River in Mwingi Central, Kitui County is known as a killer bridge. On Dec. 4, 2021, a tragic accident at the bridge claimed between 33 lives (including 11 members from a single family) when a bus carrying St. Cecilia/St. Joseph Seminary choir members and wedding guests plunged into the swollen river.
Good news! A new bridge that will now make crossing safer is about to be completed. The construction is being managed by Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA), with backing and funding from the national government.

There seems to be an uncomfortable pattern of sidelining and undermining Luo voices within Linda Mwananchi by individuals entrusted with leadership in the movement.
I received an audio recording of a meeting in which deeply troubling and undermining remarks were made. Soon afterwards, I alongside others, had been removed from various official groups with zero explanation.
We cannot champion inclusion in public while practicing the exact opposite internally.
This tendency deserves honest scrutiny!
