Last night at our Supportive Recovery Program, youth got together to show their support for #OverdoseAwarenessDay.
Overdoses are preventable. No more stigma. No more shame. No more youth lives lost.
Do The Loop retweeted
Did you know? Last year, BC paramedics responded to an average of 97 overdose calls per day.
Overdose can happen to anyone.
This #InternationalOverdoseDay, it's time to acknowledge the impact overdose has on our communities and loved ones and honour the lives we've lost.

One door can change everything, especially when there is sanctuary, acceptance and a warm place to call home on the other side. It’s officially Orange Door season... which means you can go to Langford and Saanich @homedepotcanada and help provide a safe home. #orangedoorproject

Garmin said I did this. I think I went much further, much faster.
Also, all those stop lights at intersections slowed me down. And... you get the picture.

This guy set a very high bar for fundraising runs.
I like to stop at his statue, at Mile Zero (which was 3.5 km into my @DoTheLoopVic run today), and give him a tap. I have some titanium hardware in my body but can't imagine running with his. 40 years of inspiration.
