Put in service complaint, move round until leave, or medical discharge due to โ€˜mental healthโ€™. Leave, firmly shut door on MoD, move on, many employers want veterans, especially first 12 mth post discharge. Yr on yr SCOAF says complaints system is unfair, ineffective, inefficient.

โ€œThe Army cannot be allowed to investigate itself anymore when it comes to cases of sexual harassment, assault, bullying, and abuseโ€ โ€ฆand it doesnโ€™t stop there! #DelayDenyWaitTilTheyDie!๐Ÿชฆ #LestWeForget๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ’‚๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ
Jaysley was so much more than just a soldier she was our daughter, a sister to Emilli, and a friend to so many. She was kind, caring, and truly loved by everyone who knew her. She was full of life, bright, and absolutely fantastic at her job. The Army itself has said she was exactly the kind of person they wanted to join. She should still be here. Today, the Coroner made a number of extremely critical findings against the army and found that they have contributed to our Daughters Death. The Army has admitted that it let Jaysley down and has apologised for its failings. But no apology will ever bring her back. This is a message to Sir Keir Starmer and our government things need to change. The Army cannot be allowed to investigate itself anymore when it comes to cases of sexual harassment, assault, bullying, and abuse. Too often, servicewomen and Men donโ€™t feel able to speak up out of fear of being victimised and even when they do, the Army is left to investigate itself. This cannot continue. There needs to be an independent body responsible for investigating these most serious cases which is completely separate from the Army. Only then can we ensure true accountability, real justice, and genuine change. The only comfort we have now is knowing that hundreds of people in the military have come forward, sharing their own experiences and seeking support. No one should have to suffer in silence. There are independent sources of help available, and we urge anyone affected to reach out. You are not alone. There are organisations dedicated to supporting survivors, and we as a family can personally recommend Emma Norton from Centre Of Military Justice (@cmjhq), who has truly listened to us when no one else would. Seeking help is a sign of strength. Together, we can create an environment where every service member feels safe, respected, and valued. Jaysley should still be here. We wonโ€™t stop fighting until meaningful action is taken. Thank you.

The lack of values, standards, and the abuse of authority runs deep in some. If they canโ€™t get the basics right, you have to question their overall ability as professional soldiers. Absolute disgraceful behavior๐Ÿ˜กโ€”sadly, stories like this are far too common.๐Ÿ˜ž

Please keep this anonymous!! I truly feel sorry for all the females who have been subjected to sexual abuse or even raped during their time in the forces, but even as a young male in the Army, I fell foul to this also at my first unit. Went out for a few beers with the lads at my new unit to try and fit in and after a few felt very dizzy and unstable, more than usual after not that much booze. 2 of the corporals offered to help me back to camp as I clearly โ€˜couldnโ€™t handle my drinkโ€™ who then both proceeded to rape me after getting me back to my room. I think I was spiked by them personally as a set agenda but no way of proving this. Next morning, feeling very sorry for myself and depressed, I confided in my Sgt at work about what had happened and he laughed. His exacts words were โ€˜do you really want to report this so everyone knows you got bummed?โ€™ And that was the last I ever said about it, needless to say I never went out drinking again after that and transferred capbadges soon afterwards. Having never mentioned this before I take courage in the bravery of all the people coming forward to highlight the appalling behaviour and conduct of those meant to guide and protect us when weโ€™re young

Please keep anonymous and sorry for the long post. Last week of basic our female troop captain gave us a speech that she once knew a girl who slept about in unit, this same girl woke up one night to two men entering her room and they proceeded to rape her. The moral was if you put out slutty behaviour then expect unwanted attention so think about this carefully at your units and โ€˜please ensure you all lock your doors at nightโ€™. Straight to training unit for phase 2, received open unwanted sexual comments and attention from a Sgt there, this happened regularly and in front of the whole class at times. No one said a thing other than at the fag shelter about how shit it was and how they were glad they werenโ€™t me. Straight to med reg. Our 40+ married SSgt used to ask the privates to โ€˜perchโ€™ on his desk and weโ€™d have to sit our bums on the front of his desk next to his chair whilst he was sitting in it. If you protested he would say โ€˜sh shโ€™ and wouldnโ€™t let you speak until you perched. I must add he also did this to the males though so no one said anything. Night out, lots of unwanted attention from a weasel. That night I went to room and locked door, 20 minutes in I heard padded footsteps to my door and I heard my door handle being tried several times. They gave up and fucked off. Standing in the cookhouse queue with 6 other blokes and a Capt. Another weasel who was always lurking with sexual comments, decided to randomly poke me in the vagina with his fork. No one said a thing. I did a stint at Brize Norton, I was sitting at a desk completing work in a small one man office, a vile married Cpl who had been making sexual comments for weeks came in, pushed my chair back from the desk lifted my legs to try and put my feet on his shoulders saying โ€˜you know it would be good.โ€™ Next unit, another weasel used to come and knock on my door every chance he got. Would sit next to me and touch my legs. Touch my bum whenever I walked past him. He would take out his phone and say look at this and it was pictures of his penis. I served for 6 years and in that time I met 3 females who had been raped and never reported it bar one who was called a lying slut by the whole unit and the bloke got let off because of a lack of evidence as it appeared he used a condom.

Tom Watson wishes News Group Newspapers left him & his family alone. I wish Watson & Carl Beech, who he championed, had left me, my family, & the families of Lord Brittan & Lord Bramall alone. We were traduced as serial child-murdering paedophiles. He has never apologised to me

The UK @DefenceHQ plans to reduce the number of civil servants by around 5,900 people by 2029, David Williams, @PermSecMOD, tells MPs. He said the current number of civil servants across UK defence is about 56,800 (almost as big as the @BritishArmy!)

Absolutely. If unfortunate enough to be wounded, injured or sick from service, you then have the indignity of fighting against the MoD in the form of Veterans UK. An organisation intent on ensuring that Veterans are not compensated for their life changing conditions. Despicable.

Referred to by @HuffPost as "The Military's Suicide Pill", @ctvnews covered how "soldiers had no choice in taking the medication. They were under fear of court martial and imprisonment if they didnโ€™t take it. There was fraudulent concealment of the side effects."

A year today, I met with @JohnnyMercerUK & his team in @HouseofCommons about Acquired Brain Injury. I hand delivered a briefing on #Mefloquine (#Lariam) toxicity, & a way forward, hoping to aid all those affected. I was sold that @NHSOpRESTORE would be the answer, after an its recent name change. To date, after a generation of injuries, & even as MOD legal settlements loom, injuried Troop, & clinicians have received NO HELP to enable a treatment pathway, NOTHING! My trip to Parliament was nothing more than personal expense & wasted time, for having the moral courage to do the right thing. @VeteransGovUK let that sink in!
