Couple things that struck me today: Be adoptable Listen to understand This is no time for perfection Safety and well-being are more important than academics- right now With no mandates educators are doing right for kids and families

School is NOT closed for the year. The building is. If you listen closely you can hear the hum of hard working teachers, administrators, and support staff preparing to save the day in ways and means never seen before. Yes, we are brokenhearted, but these broken hearts will lead

This makes me angry. Are these people kidding? An assistant superintendent once told me, wisely, "It's not like they're sending their second-best kid to school and keeping the best one home to themselves." Any take other than "they're doing the best they can" is wrong.

I wholeheartedly agree with that statement. I have often used the same words with our admin team and our entire staff. Parents send us the best they have every day!

Fuente is a coach that demands 100% out of his players every day. I don’t think that makes it a toxic environment at all, and to be honest I wouldn’t want to play for a coach that would settle for less. If you’re not 100% in then get 100% out of the program

Titles don’t make LEADERS... ACTIONS do! Administrators, teachers, or students - it doesn’t matter. It takes ACTION to make a collective difference that can be felt like a shock wave of positive CHANGE in our classrooms and schools! #NextLevelTeaching #dbcincbooks

Sitting in a HS game right now. Parents....you do your kid no favors criticizing your kids HS coach or coaching from the stands. Major turn off for college coaches.

As a parent I just watched my kid sit on the bench for 3 straight games today. What an awesome opportunity to evaluate for me as a parent & my child as a player. It’s my job as a parent to teach my child how to deal with that & to help my child learn how to get off the bench.
