Don't listen to their fear mongering propaganda. If they cut deputies, firefighters & paramedics it's because they chose to punish you for voting to make them & their political masters be responsible with YOUR $, not because they have to. There are many, many, less critical things they could cut (including overspending on non-essential expenditures in their own departments) before they go to cutting staff. The only reason they would go straight to this option is to make it hurt you out of spite.
Side note: I don't even own anything to pay property taxes on & have no dog in this fight.

Amendment 3 raises the homestead exemption to $150K in 2027 and $250K in 2028, and cuts the non-homestead cap from 10% to 5%. Local governments still set their rates, in public. Make them justify every dollar. Vote YES on 3.

🚨BREAKING: Governor Ron DeSantis has confirmed that after finalizing the new budget, the state of Florida will have slashed spending for 4 straight years.
Despite having a similar population to New York, Florida’s budget will be less than half the size of New York’s. The state’s rainy day fund will be 100% full and more than 3 times larger than it was just 7 years ago.
All of this with no state income tax and upcoming cuts to property taxes.
Florida continues to lead with fiscal responsibility and strong conservative governance.
