1/2: EPEC Team’s Senior Data Analyst Rick Naigle reports a 'statistically extreme' # of rejected ('unmarked') mail-in ballots in 15 VA localities during early voting. In some places, as high as 90% of ballots set aside a day. It's way outside the statewide avg. of 1.5% per 100.

VA Early Voting Tallies for Congressional Districts as of 10/21 are only slightly behind 2024 tallies at same time. Fairfax County-area districts (11, 10, 8) have the most mail ballots still out. We @CivilRights have requested the voter rolls of ALL 50 states. 1/3 of the states cooperated, and 2/3 didn’t (including CA). @TheJusticeDept will continue to enforce federal laws, such as VRA, HAVA, and NVRA, to ensure free and fair elections for ALL Americans!

Already hearing concerns from elderly VA residents about political activity in their nursing facility. Still no sign of the CMS memo from July that was issued about protecting elderly residents' voting rights, and guarding against any coercion by staff.
She came to visit her mother—and found an “I Voted Today” sticker. In Memphis in 2012, Ruth Echols said her mother, Annie Hanna, had advanced Alzheimer’s. Yet she learned Annie had participated in voting at her nursing home. Ruth wanted answers: Who helped her mother mark the ballot? How were her choices determined? Why hadn’t the family known the visit was happening? Ruth had legitimate questions but she did not get satisfactory answers. Don’t assume you know how voting is handled for your loved one. Ask before ballots arrive Families and engaged citizens can help protect consent, privacy and each voter’s independent choice. Protect the person. Protect their choice. Breaking: The intensifying voter fraud case between Trump Admin & CA was initially assigned to a Trump appointed judge, Holcomb -- but it was just transferred to another judge: Clinton appointed Judge David Carter. Carter previously ruled in favor of CA by throwing out the case in which Feds were seeking CA voter roll.

“Sydney Sweeney” makes the case for Voter ID.
Prop 39 released a new ad today highlighting what politicians don’t want you to know: California is one of a handful of states that don’t require a photo ID to vote. Prop 39 is a battle of politicians versus people. Politicians want you to vote no. The People are voting yes. This ad is a parody, but the problem is not. The politicians want to protect their power and money. We want to give it back to you. Vote Yes on Prop 39. Donate: efundraisingconnections.com/…

“To say I’m outraged is a massive understatement.” Michelle Byram discovered her mother, Kathy Lennon, had voted absentee at a Bangor, Maine, care facility in 2016—after seeing an “I voted” sticker. Her mother had Alzheimer’s. Michelle questioned whether she understood the choices: “I’m pretty confident that she couldn’t even name a candidate.” Officials said municipal staff administered voting and that Alzheimer’s alone did not disqualify her. Michelle’s experience carries a clear lesson: Families cannot assume how voting will be handled. Ask questions before ballots arrive. Who offers assistance? How is consent confirmed? Are the voter’s own instructions followed? Can they freely decline? Download the Protecting Vulnerable Voters Toolkit linked in the comments and help strengthen safeguards in your community. Protect the person. Protect their choice. Source: Bangor Daily News bangordailynews.com/2016/11/…

Today is the military stand down for voting -- and getting ballots sent back! media.defense.gov/2026/Oct/0…
Our analysis shows success rates for military mail-in tabulation avg. 30% to just over 50%--way below a 77% avg. success rate for general public. A day off to vote is a great way to ensure mail-in ballots are back in time. thehill.com/policy/defense/6…

We salute the Dept. of War for giving the military a day off to vote no later than Oct. 15. Our analysis shows tabulation success rates for military mail-ins are sometimes half of the general public's success rates w/ mail-in ballots. This ensures they have time to get that ballot back in! media.defense.gov/2026/Oct/0…
