New report from @insidehighered with insights into how IHEs are—or are not—harnessing technology for instructional or operational purposes. Some reassuring trends but, overall, this adds to my concerns that many IHEs are not keeping up with the times. insidehighered.com/news/tech…

Educators & students learned how AI is being used and how it works, possible benefits and harms. They became more optimistic about potential benefits to society & about their own abilities to contribute to shaping the future of AI. Pretty amazing after a few hours of exposure!

I am all in favor of online courses but, as per comments from me and others in this incisive @insidehighered article by @susan_dagostino, they should offer learners more than just convenience. insidehighered.com/news/2023…
