A lot has been written about side hustles and how to make a living "working for yourself". But there IS a path to $1MM/year as a traditional employee. Here the framework that no one seems to acknowledge:

Buchanan was clearly a gay president (likely had an affair with William Rufus, VP of Pierce). But he was also one of the worst presidents so no one wants to claim him. Instead we call him our only “bachelor president”
It wasn’t that bad. Two toddlers and a newborn were really hard though….

It’s not just seminar discussions.
Science fairs are just as bad.
No: your 12-year old hasn’t invented a new way to create unlimited energy
Build a knowledge base first. Then you will be ready for innovation later
Ok I’m going to be *actually* conservative here: high school students shouldn’t sit around a table in "seminars"
They should learn.
A high school student has nothing interesting to say about Beowulf, sorry, and having a "seminar discussion" around his thoughts on Beowulf is a waste of his, his classmates, and the teacher’s time.
But I’m sure UBI would work out well here
We’ve gone from knowledge about the world doesn’t matter because you can “look it up” to knowing your own address and phone number is unimportant
I would never, ever, ever admit this if this were true about me. not ever. not in a million years. nytimes.com/2026/09/23/opini…
Forget the stepsisters, Cruella and Malifecent, this needs to be the next “villain was actually the hero story”
Growing up my wife’s takes copy of sound of music started when Julie Andrews is walking to the home (“I believe in me”). It wasn’t until college she learned there was almost 30 minutes of film before that
When teaching a 5-year old history he will often mix things that seem obvious to an adult. Today he asked his mom:
“Can you tell me about what you were doing during the XYZ affair?”
“What?”
“You know, when the planes hit the twin towers”
Xyz - 9/11: All numbers and letters….
This is just not true.
At most private schools Parmets need to be VERY careful what they say. They are hard to get in to and if you are a troublesome parent you are asked to leave.
And you are counting on the guidance counselor for recommendations for high school/college 1/x
Replying to @drdavidajames @C_Hendrick
I've been working in education for 20 years and I've never heard parents describe being *afraid* of the institution they formerly had students enrolled in. Just the opposite, usually they are eagerly to complain, loudly. Here, the wealth and tactics of Alpha School scare them.
The @Alphaschool is far from perfect. But the idea that people are “afraid” to say anything is ridiculous. If they are it’s not on the school who even have “deans of parents” for every location who’s job it is to listen to parent concerns

More opportunities doesn’t trump that female coded occupations tend to be lower status. My guess is that male lawyers and doctors do fine even as the % female there increased.
"Men’s odds of marriage are decreased by working in predominately female occupations when compared with working in predominately male occupations or integrated occupations...Women’s odds of marriage are unrelated to occupational sex composition"
