When Teachers are pleading for higher pay it’s real. Let me break it down to you. I get paid $1,900 after taxes every two weeks. Rent is $1,700 alone. So I have to set aside 850 out of my check. I’m down to 1,050. Cable is 150, Phone bill is $250(multiple devices),

The sub shortage is absolutely the burden of district administration to pay/treat subs well enough that they'll apply.
Don't let your school admin manipulate you. Your days off are YOURS. You don't have to justify a damn thing.
