Municipalities have powers over:
1. Business licensing and trading regulation, within their lawful mandate.
2. Informal street trading.
Land use, zoning and building regulations.
3. Municipal public spaces and amenities.
4. Municipal by-law enforcement and local public safety.
These powers arise from section 156 and Schedules 4B and 5B of the Constitution.

I think the minister messed up here this account was never supposed to share anything because it is a personal matter .
Minister Kubayi will appoint a legal team in her personal capacity. As the custodian of the State Attorney Policy, the Minister is fully aware of its provisions and has responsibility to ensure compliance.
From the outset, the Minister understood that the policy does not provide for State funded legal representation in matters of this nature. Accordingly, the legal costs associated with the proceedings will not be paid by the state.
Further details regarding the legal proceedings will be communicated once the court papers have been filed.

TWO ASYLUM SEEKERS ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED COPPER CABLE THEFT IN ALBERTON
Two asylum seekers, aged 24 and 34, have been arrested along the N3 Freeway near Grey Avenue in Alberton for allegedly damaging essential infrastructure and stealing copper cables.
I wish the political system can change, that we no longer vote for parties but a collective of capable, ethical leaders .
These party politics are troublesome.
There’s few good individuals in all these political parties, but somehow the bad apples are more dominant 🫠🫠

To be honest, I don’t think he should have joined us. I think his style of politics would have slowed us down. He is all about talking and speaking about visions, dreams and ideas.
We as ActionSA are all about being on the ground and working. All those dreams and ideas we’ll see them later. We just focus on fixing what is broken now so that people can live better.
