I’ve decided to look after myself and not read or watch things to do with the #ockendenreport until I have my own baby in my arms in august. I feel bad for not reading it but I already feel vulnerable as an expectant mother and as a midwife. Sending love to the families affected.
Dreams during pregnancy are weird aren’t they? It’s like I’ve eaten the whole of a cheese counter before bed every night!
Full antenatal clinic 9-5, on call 5pm til 9am. Get a phone call to come and support the ward 6pm until 11:30pm. Go home. Hardly sleep. Now for a full clinic all over again. I’m tired. Coffee isn’t helping. Please may 2022 be kinder. #NHS #CommunityMidwife – at Grimsby, England

We are in. It’s so great when friends and family come together to help you move. We are so tired but so grateful! Now to find the paintbrushes…#newhome
Surrounded by a sea of cardboard and tape prior to the big move on Saturday. Bit an emotional mess but need to remember this move is good. #newhome #movinghouse #GreatGrimsby – at Saint Albans, East
That’s it. 6yrs at my wonderful @WhitHealth as a #midwife has come to an end. I’m sad although excited to be starting my new adventure @NHSNLaG as a continuity of carer midwife!
Walking into a new chapter 6 years ago today…
6 years, too many house moves, 2 churches, 1 diploma, 1 degree, 1 NHS trust, a few tears, but a whole lot of love and laughter!
This year, Ben and I are adding one more house move, 1 more church and 1 more NHS Trust to the list with our move to Grimsby. We are nervous, a bit sad to be leaving family, friends and St Albans, and very very excited to move this September; to work with some incredible people.
Who live and work in Grimsby, both in the church world with @stswithinstweet and @churchrevtrust planting into St Marks and also in the NHS world with my new job as a continuity of carer midwife.
Keep your eyes peeled - there are so many adventures ahead!
Champion of the labour ward night shift award goes to the cab driver who calmly drove up to the ward doors whilst a sweet baby decided to make an entrance to the world on the back seats. He then had to deal with a gaggle of over excited midwives and Drs! #NHSMillion #NHSmidwife
Just because we all could do with seeing a silly Ben Shave every now and again. Super grateful for the joy he brings 🥰 #husbandappreciationpost

The Teen has a new friend who is gay. It came up in conversation that I’m training to be a priest & the friend said:
“Oh no. I’d probably not be welcome at your house then.”
The Teen was happy to correct him, but I feel mortified that this is the assumption. Not good, Church.
