“If I was a man, then I’d be the man.”
Too many NFL games? “Ruining the sport." Too few NBA games? "Fake fan." Her song The Man literally tracks the exhausting double standard she deals with just for existing in all spaces.

We got your back, New York!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

The production of this album is rich. Like eating some decadent chocolate cake with multiple layers drizzled with salted caramel sauce.

Is this exclusively a Chiefs problem? Of course not. It’s a problem with high-level sports as a whole.
Do the Chiefs deserve the embarrassment this is causing? Hell yes.
From @TheAthletic: The Kansas City Chiefs are the NFL franchise that provides cover for violent abusers, repeat offenders, and now, because they need someone to make a field goal, an unrepentant sleazeball, our columnist writes. It’s always the Chiefs. nyti.ms/4A4roRW

Oof, that hit.
Men may admire intelligent women in principle, yet respond differently when confronted with their intelligence in person. As I told @JosieCox_NYC, it is another way women are considered 'never quite right' at work.

Going on the record that I hope Justin Tucker never plays a snap for the Chiefs.
For those wondering, I feel the same way about Tyreek.
If you want to hear my deeper thoughts about a potential Tyreek signing (many apply to Tucker), I did them 2 weeks ago, and here they are. youtu.be/-aTBGWtUQ0g?is=vjPG…

Re: Jalen Hurts, hematology is an incredibly specialized area of medicine in which every case and patient is very different.
I would be very careful about staking any dynasty fantasy football decisions on things you read here, even from doctors.
NFL players are, in general, a high-risk group for blood clots (higher BMI, lots of impact, lots of flying), and several have successfully returned to play after having them.
Christian Barmore sacked Geno Smith yesterday, and Chris Olave is fantasy football's WR7 after having a pulmonary embolism last December.

Jalen Hurts was first diagnosed with a superficial clot in his calf (a clot in a vein just under the skin, usually the milder kind).
After more testing, it turned out to be a DVT (a clot in a deep leg vein) plus clots in both lungs.
That happens more than people think. In a study of 844 patients with a superficial leg clot, about 1 in 4 already had a DVT or a lung clot when first checked.
Getting cleated doesn't reliably cause a DVT. But a leg injury is a known trigger, and reports say that's what happened here. We call a clot with a temporary trigger like that “provoked.” Treatment is usually about 3 months of blood thinners, and once the trigger is gone, the risk of another clot is low.
He can't play during that time because a hard hit on a blood thinner can cause dangerous bleeding inside the body.
Worth knowing for everyone: calf pain or swelling after an injury needs a check, and new shortness of breath or chest pain on top of it means go to the ER right away.
This is a very treatable problem when it's caught early.
#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days.
Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept.

.@JamesTalarico: My decision to stay home for a week sent my opponent and his conspiracy theorists spiraling. I opened up social media and learned I had apparently dropped out of the race, had flown to a mental hospital in Ohio — that I had died.
False claims got millions of views online — and this is an example of what I call the ‘rage economy.’ Billionaires who own these platforms get rich, we all get angry, and nobody’s life gets any better. Conspiracy theories don’t put food on the table, put gas in the tank, or improve our communities.
I’m going to stay focused on the very real problems facing Texans.

The NFC East winning 0 games on a week in which two teams played each other feels like a pretty good encapsulation of the division at the moment

I challenged Ken Paxton to a debate 85 days ago, but no one has heard from him.
People are getting worried.
I’ve received credible reports he's suffering from a rare condition that causes clinical levels of cowardice.
@KenPaxtonTX: I am asking for proof of ability to debate.

i’ve heard more criticism for this woman trying to learn about football and being invested in her team than i’ve heard about the 49ers owner hiring a prostitute in a trailer park
Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon addressed the viral clips of her on the sidelines looking at the playbook.
She says she’s trying to educate herself about the team’s football operations and coaching approach, telling @FOSTonight that “being a good leader is about listening.”

I genuinely think being in any kind of community that bonds over obsessively hating someone leads to psychological deterioration and slowly but surely losing all sense of empathy so the rising popularity and cultural relevance of snark subreddits is #spooky
