Thank you to @partiquebecois' Adnane Najahi for visiting @LMacCareer today and hearing directly from our community about the challenges we face including our serious concerns over #Bill8 and its proposed extension of #Bill101 restrictions to adult education and vocational training. Meanwhile, @coalitionavenir has still not accepted our repeated invitations to come see these programs and hear from our students and staff firsthand. Our doors remain open.

We were thrilled to welcome @LiberalQuebec MNA @franz_benjamin and @partiquebecois candidate Clara Bélisle to @JFKAEC today for an important discussion about the vital role our Adult Education and Vocational Training Centres play in building skills, opening doors and preparing Quebecers for the workforce. We also stressed the importance of protecting access to English-language adult and vocational education and ensuring that Bill 101 eligibility requirements are not extended to these centres. Adult and vocational education must remain accessible to learners seeking the skills they need to succeed. #qcpoli #quebecelection #qcvotes

The EMSB will hold a special board meeting on Monday, August 11, at which time it will adopt a motion to join the Quebec English School Boards Association in a legal challenge against the Quebec government’s 2025-2026 budgetary rules, which impose severe cuts and restrictive conditions that threaten educational services for all students across Quebec. Chair @MtreOrtona will disclosed the damaging impact to our schools.
