Trust is not destroyed by failure. It is destroyed by the refusal to acknowledge failure. – at Bournemouth, England
Ethos Reviews raised a complaint with @IkejaElectric 1 day ago regarding a report that an area has been without electricity for an unspecified period, and that the situation is serious. The complaint does not identify the precise location or how long the outage has lasted, so the company cannot yet be held to a defined restoration timeline. Ikeja Electric has not replied since our intervention, and a generic acknowledgement would not be enough. We require a confirmed affected location, the start time and cause of the outage, the current restoration status, and the feeder or network records showing when supply was lost.
We expect Ikeja Electric to restore supply to the affected area and to provide a written restoration timeline. Please respond within 48 hours and confirm publicly in this thread that the outage has been resolved and the records above have been supplied. Ethos Reviews is continuing to monitor this case.

Ethos Reviews is following up on a complaint against Ikeja Electric concerning a loss of electricity supply to a customer's premises. The customer reports that the outage has made the heat unbearable and has also cut off access to water, which relies on electricity. Ethos Reviews is asking Ikeja Electric to confirm the cause of the outage, whether it is a fault, a scheduled interruption, or a disconnection, and to provide the outage ticket reference, the date and time the supply was lost, and the expected restoration time for this premises.
@IkejaElectric is required to restore supply to this customer within 24 hours and to confirm in this thread that the supply has been restored and what caused the outage. No reply has been received since our first intervention 1 day ago, and Ethos Reviews will not accept a generic acknowledgement in place of a restoration date and a written explanation. Ethos Reviews is continuing to monitor this case.

Ethos Reviews is following up on a @GloWorld complaint concerning the glo café app. The customer reports having sent money from their bank account through the app, with no corresponding credit to their glo café balance. This was the customer's first use of the app. Glo should confirm the transaction reference, the amount debited, the timestamp, and the transaction trace showing where the funds were routed, along with the wallet or account to which the credit was expected to post.
Glo has responded with a holding reply only, and a generic acknowledgement is not enough. Glo is required to credit the affected customer's glo café account in full or provide a written reversal to the originating bank account within 3 days, with the outcome confirmed publicly in this thread.
Ethos Reviews is continuing to monitor this case.

Ethos Reviews is following up on a complaint that a @GloWorld customer paid NGN 800 for a subscription and was not credited on the account. The subscription purchase was not reflected on the line, and the customer is left without the service they paid for. We require Glo to provide the transaction reference, the payment and vending trace showing when the NGN 800 was debited and where the subscription request failed, and the bundle or service ID the request was mapped to.
The remedy expected is either activation of the NGN 800 subscription or a full reversal of the NGN 800 to the customer's account. Glo must complete this within 3 days and confirm the outcome publicly in this thread. Ethos Reviews is continuing to monitor this case.

Ethos Reviews is following up on an unresolved complaint against @GloWorld, which we first raised on 5 November 2026. A customer reports that they attempted to subscribe to a Glo line through the transfer method on Glo Cafe using their OPay account, that the debit went through, but the subscription was never credited to the line. We need Glo to confirm the transaction reference, the debit timestamp, the subscription request status, and the reason no credit was applied, and to provide the transaction trace showing where the funds and the request stalled. The holding reply Glo has given since our intervention does not address any of these points and is not sufficient.
@GloWorld is expected to credit the subscription to the affected line or refund the debited amount in full, with the confirmation issued publicly in this thread within 2 days. Ethos Reviews is continuing to monitor this case.

Ethos Reviews is following up on an unresolved complaint against @GloWorld, which we first raised on 2 November 2026. A customer bought data through the glocafe channel on 31 October, was debited by card and received a receipt and a confirmation that Glo had received the payment, but the data was never credited to the line. The customer has contacted customer care three times and was each time asked to wait 24 hours. We need Glo to confirm the status of the transaction, provide the payment reference and the transaction trace showing whether the payment was received and whether a data credit was attempted, and state the exact reason the allocation failed. A generic acknowledgement is not enough; we require the specific record of what happened to this payment.
Glo should credit the purchased data to the affected line or reverse the debit in full to the card used, with the reversal reflected in the customer's account, within 3 days of this post. Glo must publicly confirm in this thread once the credit or reversal has been completed. Ethos Reviews is continuing to monitor this case.

Ethos Reviews is following up on a complaint that a customer has no electricity supply and reports that some neighbouring households are being supplied while others are not, which the customer attributes to band allocation (Band A/B/C/D/E) rather than a technical fault. The customer's claim that the outage is tied to band-based allocation is unresolved. Ikeja Electric has not replied since our intervention 1 day ago. We need Ikeja Electric to state the feeder and Band classification applied to this supply point, the reason for the outage, and the dated feeder supply records for the affected area covering the past 72 hours, including the metered energy delivery and any switching or load-shedding logs. A generic acknowledgement is not enough.
@IkejaElectric must restore supply to the affected premises or provide a written technical reason with a restoration timeline, and must confirm the outcome publicly in this thread within 3 days. Ethos Reviews is continuing to monitor this case.

Ethos Reviews is following up on an unresolved complaint from a customer who reports that their banking app was compromised and funds were moved without authorisation to an account held at @joinkuda. The customer has asked for the affected account to be restricted pending an in-person visit to the bank. The amount in dispute has not been recorded. The company was first contacted 1 day ago and has not replied. Ethos Reviews requires the company to confirm the status of the account, state whether the transfer was flagged, and provide the transaction trace and the access log for the affected session.
Ethos Reviews expects the company to restrict the account named in the complaint immediately, to block further outbound transfers from it, and to confirm the customer's next steps for an in-person visit. A deadline of 3 days is set for a substantive response, and the outcome must be confirmed publicly in this thread. Ethos Reviews is continuing to monitor this case.

Sterling Bank Nigeria, a customer reports being debited NGN 900 for an MTN Tuesday data bundle purchase without the data being credited to the line. The complaint in the original post also tagged @Sterling_Bankng, but that handle is not confirmed as Sterling Bank's official account, so no company handle is attached to this post. We first intervened on 2026-11-04 and no reply has been received in the 1 day since. A generic acknowledgement will not resolve this; we require the transaction reference, the timestamped debit record, and the MTN vend or delivery log showing whether the bundle was activated.
The remedy expected is a full refund of NGN 900 to the customer's account, with confirmation of the reversal reference. We require this to be completed within 3 business days and that Sterling Bank confirm completion publicly in this thread.

Ethos Reviews is following up on an unresolved complaint against @ChowdeckHelp. The customer reports ordering an item through Chowdeck that was never delivered, and was then told no refund would be issued. The customer's account also describes the item 7go service as a scam, and the complaint names the Chowdeck platform and an X account for item 7go. Chowdeck has not replied since our intervention on 2026-11-03, and the customer has not been provided with a refund decision. We require Chowdeck to state the order status, the delivery records for the order, the payment transaction reference, and the reason the refund was refused, including the specific policy relied on.
Chowdeck is to issue a full refund of the amount paid for the undelivered order, or provide a documented delivery confirmation that disproves non-delivery, within 3 days of this post. Chowdeck must publicly confirm the outcome in this thread within the same deadline. Ethos Reviews is continuing to monitor this case.

Abuja Electricity Distribution Company @aedcelectricity, we are following up on an unresolved complaint from a customer in Jabi who reports having had no electricity supply for several days, with no prepaid token available to restore power and no response from your help desk when contacted. Ethos Reviews requires a written account of the cause and expected restoration timeline for supply in the Jabi area, the date and time of every fault report logged for this customer, the status of each open ticket, and the dispatch records showing whether a field crew was assigned. Since our first intervention 1 day ago, the company has not replied, and a generic acknowledgement will not be accepted as a response.
Ethos Reviews expects AEDC to restore supply to the affected customer, issue the outstanding prepaid token or a service credit for the days without power, and confirm in this thread within 2 days that the fault has been fixed and the help desk ticket has been actioned. Public confirmation in this thread is required by that deadline.

Ethos Reviews first raised this with you 1 day ago and has received no reply. Abuja Electricity Distribution Company @aedcelectricity, this is a formal follow-up to our intervention of 4 November 2026, made 1 day ago. A customer reports that a purchase made in April did not produce a prepaid token, and that a further payment of NGN 20,000 made last night has also not produced a token. We need to know whether the April payment was credited to the meter and why no token was generated on either transaction, and we require the transaction trace and the meter-credit records for both payments, with timestamps. AEDC has not replied since our intervention, and a generic acknowledgement will not be enough.
We expect AEDC to issue the outstanding tokens for both payments, or to credit the full NGN 20,000 to the customer's account if the tokens cannot be generated, within 3 days of this post. AEDC must confirm publicly in this thread once the remedy has been completed. Ethos Reviews is continuing to monitor this case.

Abuja Electricity Distribution Company @aedcelectricity, a customer in Kabusa reports being without power for 24 hours, with no restoration and no explanation. We are asking AEDC to confirm the cause of the outage, whether it is a local fault, a transformer failure, or a network-wide problem, and to provide the fault ticket reference, the affected feeder or transformer ID, and the time the fault was logged and the estimated restoration time.
AEDC must restore supply to Kabusa and publish a written restoration timeline within 2 days, and must confirm in this thread that the restoration has been completed. No reply has been received since our first intervention on 2026-11-04 at 07:18 UTC, so a generic acknowledgement will not be enough; we expect a substantive, dated answer.

Abuja Electricity Distribution Company @aedcelectricity, a customer in Kurudu, Abuja reports that power has been cut on and off for 3 days, with no stable supply restored, and that the repeated switching is damaging household electrical appliances. We also need to know whether AEDC has recorded any customer damage claims from this outage and what protocol applies to them.
We expect AEDC to restore a stable supply to the Kurudu axis and to provide a written outage explanation with the requested logs. Please confirm publicly in this thread within 2 days, and do not reply with a generic acknowledgement alone. Abuja Electricity Distribution Company @aedcelectricity: a customer in Masaka reports having had no electricity supply from 6 October to 29 October, and alleges that AEDC personnel demanded money from an individual in connection with restoring power. Ethos Reviews has intervened, and as of 1 day ago the company has sent no reply. We need AEDC to state the reason for the outage in Masaka across that period, whether a fault, load-shedding or an approved work schedule, and to provide the fault ticket records, dispatch logs and restoration timestamps for that feeder. We also need AEDC to say whether any staff member requested payment for restoration and, if so, to provide the identity and duty roster of the staff involved and the internal investigation opened into the allegation.
AEDC must restore supply to the affected Masaka customers, or confirm in writing a specific restoration date, and reverse any unofficial charge demanded of this customer or give a written credit for it, within 3 days. Abuja Electricity Distribution Company @aedcelectricity, this is a follow-up on an unresolved complaint. A customer reports paying for a prepaid meter recharge through a Moniepoint MFB account, with the payment debited but no token generated, and instead receiving a notice of an outstanding balance on a meter the customer says carries no arrears. We require you to confirm the transaction reference, the meter number linked to the payment, the vending or payment-gateway record showing whether the credit reached AEDC's system, and the basis for the outstanding-payment notice, including the account ledger showing any arrears. It has been 1 day since first intervention, and no reply has been received from AEDC; a generic acknowledgement will not resolve this.
Expected remedy: AEDC must either generate and deliver the token for the amount paid or reverse the debit in full to the customer's Moniepoint account, and must remove any erroneous outstanding-balance charge from the meter's record. Confirm the resolution with the transaction reference and token or reversal details in this thread within 3 days. Ethos Reviews is continuing to monitor this case.

Abuja Electricity Distribution Company @aedcelectricity a customer reports that supply in the Jabi area has been unstable, with roughly 24 hours without power from Monday evening into Tuesday and another outage from Wednesday into Thursday.
