Creating mock trades is the most doomed hobby to ever exist because you're either supremely biased and will create offers jaded completely towards your favorite team or god forbid you try to be rational and then your own fanbase calls you slurs for giving up "too much".

It sucks that most of the big media figures on this app have direct ties to active MLB players.
They can’t have any candid discussions about a salary cap, even if they do support one.

Must be nice to have the ability to have poor management but still get playoff appearances through spending!
If a salary cap was put into place, it would become a lot less acceptable for ownerships like the pirates and reds. But nah, let’s just leave them in the cellar forever!

The power surge continues for Carter Johnson!
After hitting 14 of his 18 career homers this MiLB season, the @Marlins prospect tacks on his first of the Fall. Johnson’s homer travels 429 feet (105.3 MPH) and extends the Glendale lead.

I don't think a single Pirates fan actually believes that a salary cap and floor alone will make the team better. The Pirates still need better management.
But every small market team has to be nearly perfect in their acquisitions. A few bad contracts and trades would completley sink a small market team for years.
The Dodgers, even though they've had plenty of bad contracts in the 2020s, were still able to sign historic deals with Ohtani and Yamamoto.
The Yankees are still paying Giancarlo Stanton like $32 million a year. He has less bWAR the last 5 seasons than Oneil Cruz had in 97 games this year, and yet in those 5 years. Other contracts like Josh Donaldson, Aaron Hicks, and the last 3 years of DJ LeMahieu's contract would kill most mid market teams' ability to spend. Despite that, they were able to give Aaron Judge, Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodon, and Max Fried mega deals, while still having Stanton's, Hicks', Donaldson's, and LeMahieu's contracts on the books.
Good managing matters, but the room for error for a large market team is as wide as a par 5 golf course. The room for error for a small market team is the size of a bowling alley.
AND this is the first natural hat trick in NHL history where a brother assisted on all three goals 🤯

SECRETARY RUBIO: For twenty-five centuries since, the Parthenon has stood. Empires have risen and fallen beneath its shadow.
And the progeny of the men who built it – the sons of Athens and Rome – have carried their civilization with them to the ends of the Earth.
Two and a half centuries after the founding of the American republic halfway across the world from where I stand now, I stand here today – as the Secretary of State of that republic, and as the great-grandson of settlers who arrived in the new world from Spain – I stand here to testify to a debt that no lapse of time, no distance of space, can ever extinguish.

One of the most prestigious accolades I’ve ever received. I was hoping the last homer with Rich surprising Tommy in the booth sealed the deal.
