Community composting is being restored—all because you stood up for it. Read my statement with @SaveNYCCompost here:
ALT New Yorkers spoke—and the City Council listened. With everything at stake, our city’s vibrant composting community stopped at nothing to fight back against the proposed mayoral budget cuts. They showed up in droves at rallies and press conferences. They testified at every committee hearing. They called their district offices. They signed petitions, wrote letters, and approached their council members in the street to demand restorations. It all mattered. Today, we are incredibly proud to announce that the Council will be restoring $6.245 million to community composting program and creating a new, more sustainable path forward for our community composting coalition.
Join us for a documentary revealing plastic's global impact on health and the environment, and learn how communities worldwide combat plastic pollution. Discuss with experts, discover simple actions, and support advocacy. Free with garden admission!

Fellow Americans: Pressure Putin to end Ukraine invasion by supporting the U.S. boycott of Russian oil. Drive less, which will help keep fuel affordable for those who truly need to drive, and make the boycott politically sustainable. Thanks for doing your part!

Today some incredible leaders came to Albany to make their voices heard. The “Veggie Nuggets” 🥰 came to ask for $15B in the NYS Budget to advance environmental justice and protect our planet. I imagine we will all be voting for them some day. Let's listen to the children! – at New York, USA
