The situation with @pudgypenguins & @AbstractChain is going to free up market share. Unfortunately, that market share comes at the price of losing a lot of loyal individuals from the space.
I’ll be transparent: When creating Fighting Frenchies, one of the mission statements was to overthrow Pudgy. Not just because they were arguably leading the space bridging the gap between Web2 & Web3 utilizing character IP, but because it stimulated competition. Competition is healthy. That’s why we all build brands and aspire to be the best performing artist or athlete in our realm.
@IglooInc showed us what was possible with major Web2 brand collaborations here IRL, toys in Walmart and Target, collaborations with @NASCAR & @ManCity. However, what was perceived as leading by example ended up being more of an example of what not to do. Tens of millions poured into Abstract over two years, funded in part by taking from the Pudgy business, no product-market fit, chain winding down December 15, and now full focus is ‘supposed’ to shift back to Pudgy Penguins & their $PENGU token.
This is a reminder — How you do anything is how you do everything. I’m grateful for the lessons and everything that has led up to this point. And with the ironic timing of it all, this has created even more opportunities for many — IF, you know what you’re looking for.
Needless to say I’m excited for what’s to come. Aside from the market as a whole, we are living during one of the most pivotal times in human history and it’s time to capitalize.
Expect the unexpected, or you’ll never find it.
For those who were affected by this, my heart goes out to y’all. I truly believe Fighting Frenchies will be the new home for generations to come for those who have lost, left, and are looking for a place to feel that sense of belonging too.
