Most of the 2026 gerrymanders turned out to be dummymanders.
ALL of them stole representation & ruined accountable government.
Isn't it time to end gerrymandering for good?
We're done with politicians choosing their voters.
Fight fair or go home.
@FairDistrictsPA
Millions of dollars were spent on efforts to control the outcome of Nov 3 election.
Apparently most of those efforts were dummymanders: gerrymandering efforts intended to favor a political party, but which backfire by benefiting another party instead.

PA was the forerunner in representation-with the 1st state constitution promising "the people" the right to alter & reform our government.
It's time to reclaim that right. Come learn more at our statewide conference on December 5 in Harrisburg.

Imagine how much more we could invest in public services, healthcare, education, and infrastructure if the wealthiest people contributed taxes at the same effective rates as ordinary working people. The problem isn’t that society lacks resources. It’s that the tax burden is often distributed in ways that favour those who can afford it least.

Kansas voter here. Actually right in the center, so deep cow country. We are tired. We are broke. We are seeing our friends and neighbors terrorized. What the hell would we want more of the same for? Hope this helps.

We just saw the most expensive election cycle in the history of our country (again). The AI and crypto industries spent millions trying to shape the outcome of our democracy.
We must confront the influence of billionaires and special interests in our elections. It's time to abolish Super PACs and overturn Citizens United.
theintercept.com/2026/11/04/…
There were plenty of voters who turned out just for the fun of voting against the Yass-backed candidates. We noticed the flow of Yass money through the @PASenateGOP & all those bogus PACs & SuperPACs & said “no way.”
It’s time for government that represents us , not Yass.
Yass PACs spent $2.6 million on this race:

Anyone in PA listening?
I was reading Heather Cox Richardson's daily newsletter, and she reminded me of something interesting that happened in Montana on Election Day:
Voters overwhelmingly approved a ballot initiative to stop the flow of corporate money into political campaigns! Wow, right?
Instead of going after Citizens’ United, they argued that corporations are created by states, therefore the state can deny the power of corporations and other “artificial persons” to donate to political causes.
Only 34.5% of Montana voters opposed the measure. More than 65% voted yes.
Aren't you smiling? Who could possibly not think this is a step in the right direction?
Tell me you're not smiling.

I hate to break it to this guy, since this is his pet issue, but not only is so-called "school choice" wildly unpopular in Texas, it's literally a big part of why Gina Hinojosa won in the first place. Rural Republicans flipped or stayed home in part because they never wanted the school voucher system to begin with and feared it would defund their small-town schools. Voters, particularly rural Republicans who voted Democratic for the first time in their lives, gave Hinojosa and the legislature a mandate to dismantle it.
James Talarico separates legal tax loopholes from outright cheating, and argues that collecting taxes already owed should come before adding new ones
“You know, there's, there's crazy stuff in our tax code that says you can write off your private jet, your mega yacht as business expenses, right?”
“I mean, this whole tax system that we have now really allows the people at the very top to accumulate and amass more wealth without any taxation.”
“I mean, we, I was reading that if we just collected the taxes that the top 1% owes, no new taxes, just collecting what's already owed, it would raise something like $172 billion every year.”
“It's both, it's both the legalized loopholes that you can get away with, but it's also people who just know they're not going to get, but no one's going to crack down on them.”

Dark money groups poured $1.4 billion in our elections this cycle—which is six times more than the $229 million spent in 2018.
The dark money that Citizens United unleashed on our elections is a scourge on our democracy. The time for robust campaign finance reform is now.

Trying to understand around why school vouchers helped propel the blue wave in states like TX, IA and AZ? I'm here to help. GOP's insistence on enacting unpopular programs over voter objections angered a lot of people, like this Dem who just ousted Utah's senate majority leader

If the goal is to alienate voters the same way @PAGOP did, go for it.
A huge % of voters hate gerrymandering, dislike cheaters & want accountable, responsive government.
Anyone who approves a map like this or stands in the way of redistricting reform missed the Nov 3 memo.

While pundits do the same-old tired debate of whether Tuesday’s election results mean Democrats should be more progressive or more moderate, they’re missing the whole damn point.
I just won my swing district by 26 points. This was an election about POWER.
Let me explain. 🧵:

They’ve seen that the status quo isn’t working for them or their communities & they’re starting NOW to fix that.
Anyone who wants their vote will have to earn it by listening & taking action for the future they deserve.

Now that these rigged maps have spectacularly backfired, can we all get on board with banning partisan gerrymandering now?

The American people want real representation and real solutions from the people we elect. It's time for redistricting reform & voting maps drawn to represent we the people, not the dreams of political leaders.
