Outside the High Court in Glasgow.
Same scene playing out across the city.
Palestinian flags, “YES IT IS A GENOCIDE” banners, and the weekly ritual of turning up to shout about a foreign conflict.
Children suffering is a disgrace whether that’s here or anywhere else. Full stop.
But the man in the video is right to be angry.
You go around Glasgow every week with the flags and the noise, yet Scottish kids are growing up in homelessness, child poverty, and communities hit by record drug and alcohol deaths, while the NHS that should be protecting them is falling apart.
I want these people to answer why they are not standing up for their own in their own country.
I’ll be surprised if they can answer it without turning it into another question.
You have the time, the numbers and the willingness to turn up without fail.
So why is none of that energy aimed at the Scottish Government actually running the place you live in?
The problems on your own streets don’t get the same weekly protest.
Why not?

Here is Dave Doogan explicitly arguing for standing charges to be “redistributed onto the unit price” in order to encourage lower consumption. Now it has happened, Dave Doogan is complaining loudly about the very thing that he asked for (see quoted tweet).
Wait a minute, on gas prices...
By moving the cost of the standing charge on to the unit rate - has Andy Burnham actually just put up energy bills for the majority of Scots?
We are colder country & have to put the heating on more, the more gas we use, the higher price we pay!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Doogan himself has stood in the House of Commons and demanded the redistribution of the standing charge to the unit price claiming it will lower bills and reduce carbon emissions.

Taxation in Scotland at least gives you a lot more bang for your buck, my university degree cost me nothing, free prescriptions, council tax isn’t any more expensive than England/Wales yet rolls in water charges which are additional charges outside Scotland. Lots to be criticised about the SNP and their way of doing things, but paying tax in Scotland does come with tangible benefits
🚨One calls the others “bastards.” Seconds later he’s shoved hard into a parked car.
Shouting, pointing, scuffling. All of it on camera.
We didn’t ask for this fight. We don’t care who owns Kashmir. We don’t care about your slogans, your flags, or your old grudges.
You want to settle it with fists and insults? Do it in Lahore or Srinagar. Not in a British car park.
Bring your foreign conflicts here, fight in our streets, and you can get on a plane.
No more warnings. Deport them.
Britain is not a battleground for your politics.

Why is it that certain cultures automatically resort to loudness, threats, and violence whenever their uncivilized behaviors are called out or they’re told “no”?
