Continued assault on the family... straight from the devils playbook - not even trying to hide it anymore. #LordHaveMercy
The latest ad from the Irish Government to the Irish people, who are the font of all problems in the country and desperately need to be stopped from their bad behaviour. This time, it's hugging your grandkids.

Father Andrii Stebivka, a priest of the Greek Catholic Eparchy of Mukachevo, was forcibly detained by recruitment officers and taken to a military training camp from where he could potentially be sent to the front lines of the war with Russia, his family stated. The incident took place on Oct. 12 at a checkpoint in the Rivne region of northwestern Ukraine. The 38-year-old priest, who was ordained two years ago, was returning from participating in a spiritual retreat, according to his parents, Bohdan and Natalia Stebivka. Stebivka was recently transferred to a different parish, but administrative delays inherent in this change of pastoral assignment created a temporary gap in the state registry that formally certifies the pastoral work and ministerial service of priests in Ukraine. Despite repeated efforts to provide proof of his active clergy status and ongoing pastoral service to the faithful, recruitment authorities rejected his documentation and sent him to a military training center. According to his family, he has already been assigned to a special assault unit and is expected to enter combat in the near future. The bishop of the Eparchy of Mukachevo, Teodor Matsapula, and the apostolic nunciature in Ukraine are taking formal steps with government authorities to clarify the priest’s status and secure his reinstatement to his parish duties. So far, these requests have gone unanswered. Stebivka, who was ordained a priest in June 2024 at the Cathedral of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, is also noted for his artistic work as an iconographer. Throughout his ministry, he has created sacred compositions and apse murals in churches in Dublin, Boston, and various Ukrainian cities, such as Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, and Uzhhorod. Faced with the imminent risk of being sent to the battlefield, the priest’s parents have made a public appeal to civil, military, and diplomatic authorities, requesting that the pastoral nature of his vocation be recognized and that he be permitted to continue carrying out his priestly ministry in Mukachevo. There was something beautifully comforting about this when I was in Rome and experienced this during Benedict XVI papacy. So glad Leo XIV has resumed it...

This is why I always pray for two things, at a minimum: 1) The wisdom/discernment to see the path that Christ lays out before me. 2) The humility, understanding, and willingness to follow that path.

St. Augustine wasn’t afraid God wasn’t listening. He was afraid God WAS listening. Because answering his prayers meant changing his life. What if we're doing the same thing? Are you actually ready for what you've been praying for? Today's homily NOT YET: homilyonthespot.com/2026/10/…

This is it. We’re at the toughest part. Season Six covers the 24 hours of the events surrounding Jesus’ death. It was painful to shoot, and it’s painful to contemplate. But if there’s one thing I want you to take away from this season, it’s that Jesus chose this path. He even tells the apostles he could be rescued from it if he wanted. He chose surrender and humility and sacrifice. Knowing that should make this story a little less painful. Starting November 15th on @PrimeVideo, you’ll experience the climax of what’s been building for five seasons. Season Five was the powder keg. In Season Six, it explodes. —Dallas

Nothing demonstrates how strong in their own faith these individuals are than by “rewarding” them with desecrating objects from the one true faith. Good luck with that.

Columbus attended Mass daily, named the New World for Christ, and died a Third Order Franciscan. The war on his memory didn't begin with historians — it began with 19th-century nativists who couldn't stand Catholic immigrants claiming an American hero. The Knights of Columbus (of which I am a proud member) took his name as a rebuke to that bigotry. The hatred was never about 1492. It was about Rome. Happy Columbus Day! May we forever honor his memory!

"Nothing is so strong as gentleness, nothing so gentle as real strength"- St. Francis de Sales Pope Leo XIV @Pontifex just stated Catholic teaching on human dignity That's not weakness That's the Church (It's also in the Old Testament if you care: in Cain and Abel God's mercy embraces even a murderer).
I could never be a Catholic. Their leadership is so weak.
