🚨⚠️ CAT KILLER PUNCHED GIRLFRIENDS CATS TO DEATH
NEWTOWN, POWYS.
JAMIE BOWEN.
Just because time has passed, let's not ever forget what this monster did.
A Newtown man has been spared jail for killing his girlfriend’s two cats by “punching them repeatedly”.
The injuries caused to Nala and Fuego by Jamie Bowen were so severe that when he took them to Hafren Vets, the vet who treated them thought they could have only been caused by being hit by a vehicle.
Bowen, 29, of Violet Close, admitted attacking Nala and Fuego while “in a rage” at his Newtown home.
One cat was already dead when Bowen and his partner took them to the veterinary practice, while the other had to be euthanised.
He deemed both had been killed by blunt force trauma to the head and chest.
Bowen was said to have “become hysterical” and he subsequently confessed to killing them both – but initially denied causing unnecessary suffering to the cats at his first court appearance.
At Mold Crown Court he changed both pleas to guilty and was handed a suspended prison sentence.
Prosecutor David Mainstone said the vet who treated Nala and Fuego became suspicious.
“The defendant and his partner had taken the two cats to Hafren Vets in Newtown, where the lead vet immediately saw one was dead, while the other was close to death,” he said.
“He spoke with the defendant and his partner to obtain consent to euthanise the cat as attempts to revive it were unsuccessful.
“The defendant admitted he’d killed the cats. The vet believed the cats must have been killed by being hit by a vehicle as their injuries were consistent with that sort of injury."
He said the living cat had a fractured skull and injuries to its limbs.
Bowen later admitted he had punched the cats repeatedly in the head before calling his partner home to help him take them to the vets.
The cats would have been in extreme agony in their last moments.
Judge Rhys Rowlands told Bowen: “Quite why you behaved as you did, only you will know, but it is beyond all right thinking people who view cruelty upon animals as abhorrent.
“Clearly, you were in a position to know the difference between right and wrong.”. Bowen was handed an eight-month prison sentence – but it will be suspended for 18 months.
He was banned from owning animals for 10 years and must pay costs of £500, and a £156 surcharge.

🚨 ANIMAL CRUELTY CONVICTION | JENNIFER BENTLEY, 47, CONGLETON — LEFT DYING DOG SNOOP TO SUFFER, THEN HIS BODY WAS FOUND WRAPPED IN A RUG IN THE GARDEN
Cane Corso Snoop endured months of diarrhoea, severe weight loss and a deteriorating condition. Yet his owner, Jennifer Bentley, never sought veterinary treatment.
Veterinary evidence described prolonged illness, malnutrition and distress. By the time the RSPCA discovered Snoop, he was severely emaciated.
The suffering did not end there. Officers found his decomposing body wrapped in a rug in the garden of Bentley’s abandoned property.
Snoop needed help. He never got it.
Bentley was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months, ordered to pay £400 in costs and banned from keeping animals for life.
A dog who depended entirely on his owner was left to endure a prolonged decline without the veterinary care he desperately needed.
Snoop deserved better.

"Ode to a Veteran
Four decades past, a solemn vow,
To serve the Queen, to stand and bow.
A soldier's life, a noble quest,
To guard the realm, to do one's best.
Twenty-five years, a lifetime's span,
A brotherhood forged, a bond so grand.
With comrades brave, through thick and thin,
Their courage shone, their spirits within.
Some fell in battle, a heavy loss,
Their sacrifice, a noble cross.
Their memory lives, a guiding light,
Inspiring all, day and night.
With honor served, a debt repaid,
A veteran's heart, forever stayed.
Proud to have worn the uniform,
A testament to courage, strong and firm.
Within the ranks, a special corps,
The Royal Corps of Transport, a treasured resource.
With mates and colleagues, a bond so deep,
Their camaraderie, a treasure to keep."

🌹 ONE RED POPPY. TO REMEMBER THEM ALL. 🇬🇧
Regardless of where they came from, who they were, what they believed or which uniform they wore.
Every life mattered. Every sacrifice deserves remembrance.
From those who never came home to those who returned carrying the scars of war, and the families who sacrificed alongside them.
The red poppy remembers them all.
It does not discriminate. It does not divide. It unites us in remembrance.
Different faces. Different faiths. Different generations.
One shared sacrifice. One symbol of remembrance.
🌹 ONE RED POPPY. TO REMEMBER THEM ALL.
🇬🇧 WE WILL REMEMBER THEM. 🇬🇧

SHE STARVED HER DOG TO DEATH - AND SERVED JUST EIGHT WEEKS IN PRISON
Lucy Marie Craddock, 27, from Leominster, Herefordshire, was jailed for 16 weeks after admitting causing unnecessary suffering to her American bulldog, Ocean.
When Craddock took Ocean to a vet on 13 June 2025, the dog was already dead. Wrapped in a duvet, her body was covered in urine and faeces.
Ocean weighed just 7kg — against an expected healthy weight of around 30kg.
She had been starved for so long that little muscle or body fat remained. She had developed pressure sores and had eaten her own faeces in a desperate search for food.
Magistrates rejected any suggestion that Craddock had failed to realise Ocean was suffering, stating that only an immediate prison sentence was justified. She was handed a 16 week sentence.

The British farming industry is in crisis. And shame on the successive governments who let this happen. National food security is one of the foundations of a strong society. Because ultimately, no farmers, no food.
Support British farmers. Our food security depends on them. 🚜

🚨 ANIMAL CRUELTY CONVICTION: MAX O’NEILL, 18, RYDE, ISLE OF WIGHT
Max O’Neill filmed two dogs attacking a badger in Brading, Isle of Wight.
The footage showed the protected animal being torn apart while O’Neill stamped on it as it lay dying.
Afterwards, he allowed the dogs to wash the blood off in a nearby watercourse.
At the Isle of Wight Youth Court on 21 October 2026, O’Neill received four months’ youth detention, suspended for 12 months, and a three-year dog ban.
The case comes amid reports of his involvement in other violent offences, including assaults on dog walkers and a robbery in Newport.
The disturbing footage raises serious questions about the treatment of wildlife and the consequences for those who deliberately inflict suffering on animals.
