That I disagree with. The road to liberation is not a straight line. It takes multiple tenacious effort to be free. &we can't speak like that & disrespect the lives of all the people the state murdered, maimed& traumatized. It was an important step in dreaming of a free Kenya.

I believe it's why the political class has been so adamant about gutting education and choking the arts. So that the collective doesn't have access to explore history or expand on critical thought.

Btw this doesn't just happen to women in the context of GBV. Happens with politics where the political class sets it up so that Kenyans are at fault for who they voted for & not a system build to protect and enrich the political class too.
(Victim blaming is more effect when already society is looking at an oppressed class as unreasonable/liars/deviant/etc)

(And, this isn't a hyperbolic Thanks to how things are you are more likely to die from either state neglect or direct state violence than you are of old age. & If you beat the odds and make it to old age you will burry a lot of people on the way. Just an FYI)

Confessed to a crime on live radio. The hosts giggling away not asking: 1. Why tf would she commit academic fraud? 2. Why would she aim to "reward" only folks who campaign for her instead of working on policy changes that addresses adult literacy/qualifications I is tayad.
Karen Nyamu: I recently tried to help a very staunch campaigner of mine join the police force. Tukakarabati (we forged) a form 4 certificate. She went to Kiganjo for training, but after investigations, she was arrested for forgery alongside 17 others. #ThePeoplesBreakfast #HomeOfHardTruths @ctmuga & @mungalambuvi

TW: Verbal abuse. This is a DV red flag. His fits won't stop at slamming ugali on the table. It's not about the food. It would be warmed by him or her, it's about having power over/access to her labour. She needs to collect her kid(s) belongs & be gone by the crack of dawn.

Comparing consultancy work which is essentially industry specified problem solving ie gig by gig basis for when the consulting is needed to a steady (semi)guaranteed monthly net revenue is a choice... A fallacious choice
300K sio thaat much in this economy bana ,mwache kui treat as if it's some type of life changing money Frankly, real ones tunatia bidii sai tukuwe consultants tu make twice that amount and maybe even more

Fascinating thing about the algorithm. It's very telling about who you are and what interact with if all you see is specific types of content. Whether it's from a place of hate or not. You are the curator of your TL. The fault is not the queer people living in their truth.

And it's the father's responsibility to leave his wife and coparent if his wife his harming his child so that the children have a safe neutral environment to grow up in tf?

Imo it's the sole responsibility of the father to be an active parent, who protects their child even from his wife if need be. Why is it the man is always head of the home, until HE creates a messy situation suddenly it's the women who must or mustn't react in certain ways?
I get that kids born of affairs are innocent and stuff but the main family doesn't owe them a relationship or acknowledgement 🤷🏽‍♀️. If the wife says she wants no part in she's well within her rights to say that.

And read the marriage act... Understand the legal side of what you're getting into.
As usual, my only advise when it comes to marriage is - feelings aside. Analyse the social, economic, financial, spiritual etc value of your partnership. Getting into a near permanent relationship because someone bought you flowers is, I'm sorry, foolish.

There are 2 people destroying a home btw. Not just one, and only one of them said vows, and signed a legal document.
Maybe the old stereotype about side chicks being home Wreckers is true. Why are they so pressed and even hating on the married women for not leaving her husband? Even calling her all sort of names? It's clear the purpose of dating married men is to wreck their homes

THAT PART. The man creating the mess is automatically protected by society from the consequences of his own actions, and society proceeds to pass those consequences solely to the women. The hypocrisy of it is so frustrating.
Replying to @njokingumi
@khanyisile has put it so well and succinctly here. The belonging everyone is fighting for - wives and mistresses, for themselves and their children - is SOCIAL. Note that the married man's social belonging is NEVER in question, despite betrayal, pain and confusion caused to many

Still tryna understand the origin of this convo. But, everyone just skipping over the fact that the person responsible for navigating the child's safety is the father? i.e the cheating husband not his spouse? Why is the husband infidelity such a passive, acceptable plot point?
No one is forcing you to accept your hubbys 'love child' But if you choose to stay you must play all possible scenarios in your head. What if the silly side chick relinquishes custody or passes and your hubby has to take baby in? Will you leave then or stay and mistreat a kid?

Nigerian men btw ~ I see how you people pretended not to see this tweet. Our advocacy for a better society should not be the entire demonization of one gender. If this tweet was about an Anambra woman putting fresh pepper in her daughter's vagina, you people will camp here.
Every month, there's about 2 of these - and I'm not exaggerating. This begs the question: How many unreported cases do we have in Nigeria? Because you cannot tell me this isn't a pattern at this point.
