🇮🇳🇷🇺 INDIA AND RUSSIA PUSH TRADE TO $100 BILLION
India and Russia aim to grow annual trade by 50% within five years, targeting $100 billion as ties with the U.S. strain.
Foreign Minister Jaishankar, visiting Moscow, said both nations must cut tariffs and remove barriers to hit the goal.
Russia is already India’s fourth-largest partner, while India ranks as Russia’s second-largest.
The push reflects shifting alliances as both countries seek to deepen economic links outside Washington’s orbit.

🇷🇺 RUSSIA SAYS: DON’T WORRY INDIA, THE OIL KEEPS FLOWING
Moscow just told New Delhi it has “very, very special mechanisms” to keep pumping crude into India - sanctions be damned.
Russia’s envoy Roman Babushkin promised supply levels will hold steady, even as:
U.S. slaps 25% tariffs on Indian exports (effective Aug 28) to punish Delhi’s Russian oil habit.
EU blacklists Nayara Energy, a Rosneft-linked Indian refiner, spooking traders.
China, buying even more Russian oil, escapes Washington’s tariff hammer entirely.
Putin is also set to meet Modi in New Delhi before year’s end, cementing an energy axis Washington can’t seem to crack.
Bottom line: India keeps cheap Russian oil. Russia keeps a massive market.
And the West? Left fuming while its “maximum pressure” strategy leaks barrels.

From 24–28 February, Rwanda hosts the Pan-African Surgical Conference #PASC2025, convening surgeons, healthcare leaders, researchers, and policymakers to explore solutions for strengthening surgical services in Africa.
Held under the theme “A Surgeon in Every District Hospital,” the five-day conference will promote transformative initiatives in surgical education, technological innovation, clinical skills development, and the formulation of strategies to overcome challenges in resource-limited settings.
