A fantastic review for Being Billy from Rebecca at the brilliant @film_carnage Rebecca always get to the heart of what my films are about, always fair and massively respected by me as a truly independent voice in an industry that needs that desperately in order to grow, be sustainable... and entertain... Love this piece from Rebecca's review about the performances.. "Then having that scaled back setting allows Con O’Neill to bring the depth and intensity that Being Billy needs with his performance. He creates an excellent balance and injects a lot of tension. There’s a huge range of emotions to his performance, and he does really well to make his presence felt, even in his stillest, quietest moments. It’s a moving portrayal, and he’s well supported by the rest of the ensemble, who add a lot of personality into the mix, a little bit of humour and a growing warmth." It's always about the performances for me, everything else elevates that.. work with good people across the board and you'll always have a better chance of it all coming together.. There's a link to full Film Carnage Review in Our Bio.. and please give them a follow.. Being Billy Short Film William (Billy) Livesey is a Falklands Veteran with dementia, living in a care home. A brief connection with new carer Lisa stirs memories in Billy, taking him back to the closing stages of the Falklands War in 1982 and a life changing incident that took place for him, his close friend (and fellow Para) Stu and Argentinian soldier Pablo. Memories from the past help guide Billy through the fog of dementia and re-connect him to the present. Some Wars Never End.... “ZombieCON Vol.1 is an entertaining, enthusiastic and highly enjoyable adventure. It's throwing back to the days where horror, comedy and action cinema didn't take itself too seriously, and it could simply have fun with it." 7/10 ⁦@Film_Carnage⁩ filmcarnage.com/2025/09/10/r…
