I know @SBergerBOSTON has won every contest under the sun, but what’s the most random and weird contest and prize you have ever won?
I’ll start. In high school, I won a 32-inch Panasonic TV, VCR, and 25 A&E Biography episodes on VHS.

Dog heaven gained another angel this week, so it’s #Asapalooza all day! We miss you @MaineGolden and hope you’re getting all the sticks.

Benzinger was a key contributor to the 1988 Morgan Magic Red Sox team. Rest in peace, #38.

The Cincinnati Reds are saddened by the passing of former first baseman and 1990 World Series champion Todd Benzinger.
Todd will be remembered with great affection and gratitude for his place in one of the most memorable chapters in Reds history. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, former teammates and all who knew and loved him.
When I first started an account for my dog, @MaineGolden was one of its first followers. When Potter died unexpectedly, they were the first to send condolences.
This is a HUGE loss for the dog twitter community. We hope Asa's family feels the love today. xitter.cf/MaineGolden/status/211…
<...checks notes...> this is not, in fact, how you celebrate a home run in a game that could send you to the World Series. xitter.cf/JeffPassan/status/2112…
For the first few years, this was appointment television. Sorry to see it go.
After 16 seasons, the final episode of Intentional Talk will air November 4th, 2026.
@SieraSantos, @Dempster46 & @KMillar15 reflect on the show's run and their last four years together.
18 years ago tonight!
Two weeks after back surgery, I went to my first-ever @RedSox playoff game. I saw @SBergerBOSTON! But with the home team down a hundred runs in the sixth inning, I went home because of how much pain I was in.
Of course they came back and won. Just my luck.
Ralph Houk, but he managed for like a thousand years, so good luck with guessing.

I know that I am a little young to have seen Mays and Aaron during their playing days, but, ummm, that doesn't look like Mays at all. xitter.cf/baseballinpix/status/2…
Willie Mays and Hank Aaron pose together in the 1970s — the Say Hey Kid and Hammerin' Hank side by side while Aaron was running down Babe Ruth's home run record.
Mays, born in Westfield, Alabama, in 1931, broke in with the New York Giants in 1951; Aaron, born in Mobile in 1934, followed with the Milwaukee Braves in 1954. Between them: 1,415 home runs, 7,054 hits, 49 All-Star selections. Aaron received death threats through the 1973–74 chase before hitting No. 715 off Al Downing on April 8, 1974, in Atlanta, breaking the mark Ruth had held for 39 years. Mays retired in 1973 with 660 homers; Aaron played his final season in 1976. Aaron died on January 22, 2021; Mays on June 18, 2024.
⚾ 1,415 home runs between them — hit while carrying the weight of a generation. Who was the greater all-around player: Mays or Aaron? ⚾ 👇️
I said it back then. I say it today.
Safe. xitter.cf/nut_history/status/210…
I have recorded hundreds of candidate statements over my almost-30 years in access television. This is, by far, the best one I have ever seen.
(…go to 32:45 if it doesn’t take you there automatically…)

Holy crap.
Cy Young pitched in the 1890s and then lived long enough to appear on television.

As the former Mayor of PittsburgH and the former Member of Council & Chief of Staff who represented Pittsburgh’s University district for 19 years (1995-2014) before serving as Mayor for 8 years (2014-2022), I tell you, without question, this is racist bullshit.
JD Vance: "Some of America's most elite universities bring in foreigners to undercut the wages of American residents. There are 9 universities in particular that we believe merit an investigation. Those are Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Brown, the University of Pittsburg, UC Davis, Cal Tech, Arizona State, and MIT."
Wonderful. Where is the salary floor?
