FYI in 2018 the Seattle Storm defeated the Washington Mystics to win the WNBA Championship.
They played the game at George Mason University, which is in Fairfax, Virginia which is 20 miles (and a 40-60 minute drive) from Washington DC during game time.
After winning the championship the Seattle Storm went to a bar called Carpool in Fairfax to celebrate.
My friends and I were at the bar and thought it was a college volleyball end of season party. No fans were there trying to meet the players or anything.
So thats where the WNBA was at in 2018 compared to now.
Imagine if Angel Reese Was at a bar in Fairfax...

Dusty May on what surprised him most about the NBA so far:
"48 minutes, 24 second shot clock and the pace of these NBA games are so fast and there's just so many more possessions and no lead is safe"

Trae Young on seeing teammate Justin Champagnie leaving the court with a foot injury: "That's the worst feeling in the world. ... He's going to recover, and whatever he's going through, we're going to be right there with him, and he's going to be right there with us throughout his recovery, and we're going to make sure he's right. We'll hold down the fort while he's gone."

Erik Spoelstra on Cooper Flagg:
“He’s an absolute winning player. A force of nature with his style of play. He’s gonna impose his competitive nature on every single possession. For a young player, I think that’s unique that he can impact a game without scoring.”

Draymond Green speaks on Yaxel Lendeborg’s upside and development:
“He’s definitely getting better each and every day. It’s extremely exciting because there’s so much he don’t know. He don’t know A LOT.
I told him last game, if at any point you feel like I’m saying too much to you, you can tell me “not right now I don’t want to hear it” or “I’m good”, because I’m going to try to give you everything I know.
And I find myself talking to him the entire game just telling him something different and he can apply it right away. Like you tell him something and he come down the next play and it happens, he applies it right away so that’s special in itself.“
